Can’t upload a new recipe

The icon just spins, I give up

Wish it isolated recipes from the source webpage

I like the concept, and how it turns the ingredients into a checklist/shopping list. But I wish it pulled the instructions out of the source website. Instead all it does is link to the original webpage, so you get all the ads and fluff before the recipe from the webpage. Also presumably if the source website ever took the recipe down, you’d lose it.

Great idea but execution needs work

The app is a great idea but it has been super buggy for me during the last day or so. Please fix!! I’m having trouble saving recipes by importing a URL

No Method For Signup without Phone Number

At this day and age, any app developer should be aware that a phone number is, in some respects, more valuable than a social security number. Expecting users to fork over sensitive data without building any trust is outlandish and suspect at best. Apple and other OS platforms have provided methods for implementing secure account creation that also allow for anonymous account creation to obfuscate user data from collection methods. This has been in place for years, so there’s little reason for it to not be baked in to this app. Maybe there was no malicious intent, but after a certain point, the lack of implementation suggests use of dark pattern development.

We do require phone number to sign up. The reason for this is that we find it dramatically reduces spam accounts, and one of our biggest priorities is creating a safe community. That said, we completely understand if that’s not everyone’s cup of tea — we respect your decision to use another app that you're more comfortable with 🙂

The solution I would build for myself if I was a developer!

I rarely write reviews for apps, but this is so functional and helpful, and I am telling everyone I know about it. I’m shocked this doesn’t have more users; it has the potential to be the goodreads of cooking!

I love the ability to save and categorize without leaving your web browser via the Share button, and I love how straightforward the features are - not a ton of fluff, just simple and clean and does what I want it to do.

A must for cooks who always follow recipes

This might be the great app of all time. No notes

Thank you @nope8797 !! We appreciate the review 💕

I LOVE IT

I seriously never write reviews. Ever. It feels selfish and it probably is as I seek out really helpful reviews that take time to write. Anyway, I love cooking, but recently have felt blah about it. I have a massive garden and an indoor winter one, and I am into healthy clean eating as much as possible. Reading “How Not To Die” rn and I use examine.com to sift through supplements. I am a big fan of adding tech to make my life easier. Not harder. This is awesome. I can share with family. Make categories. The recipes have reviews, photos, the ability to change servings and thus how much you will need to buy on the grocery list on the app. I can add links from other sites, which if you’re into food like I am, this is necessary! I can add recipes and type them in and my sister has created endless recipes as she is a massive creative. Also, there are delicious recipes on here and I can search whatever term I contemplate and the search works great. They update frequently. It’s pretty and I’m introduced to food blogs I’ve never seen that I’m thrilled to have. And the recipes are reviewed. So one spot to put everything. I can take photos of recipes and add. I haven’t checked that out yet, but I’m excited to. I download apps then never use them and delete quickly. The apps I keep, I use a lot. So excited. I’ve not kept apps before as I can only look at their focus and I can’t do all cooks need. Just works and is one spot. I won’t look at 5 apps to get what I need. I just won’t. Loving it.

Favorite App ever!

I love this app for sharing recipes and seeing what my friends are cooking!! Better than any other cooking app I’ve used. Love to support female founded apps too. What a joy.

Way better than Pinterest

I love that you can save and categorize recipes from any website here including all my favorite blogs. I also like that I can see what my friends have made and how they rated it. Plus, I’m able to support bloggers by leaving a rating and review on their recipes without having to leave the app and remember to go back to their website later. Love the “always on” screen feature too! Highly recommend if you love to cook and bake like I do.

What Pinterest Used to Be

This app is a great resource for recipes across the internet, like Pinterest *used* to be, but is no longer. I often find myself with one ingredient I want to use but in need of a recipe. So, I especially love the “search by ingredient” feature. The design is also beautiful and intuitive. I wish it was more popular, the social feature has the potential to be the GoodReads of cooking.
