It seems to me that it is not normal to charge $21 monthly (with taxes) for functions that are free in other car brands, such as how to close and open a car and its location. Hyundai is free, but you are higher up the ladder and the car is much more expensive! But no, we will also charge money for the app.

Would be great if I could actually register my vehicle (at least I think. 🤷♀️).
Lacking features, and limits its own use
This app is genuinely terrible. It does very few things and they are all inconvenient to access. A brief summary of issues I have are its lack of detail in fuel and battery level for your vehicle, the unreliability of starting your car both through the button and the climate schedule, and its lack of compatibility with anything.
I would be willing to subscribe to dodge connect if it had two simple things: the ability to create shortcuts with the app, and widgets that show data about your car (ex. battery and fuel levels). If I could easily find the API, I would be able to create these things myself, but I shouldn’t have to resort to that when they are simple features that would require little effort on their part for huge quality of life improvements for customers.
They will likely not be getting my subscription once the trial is over due to this incredible lack in features.
