Writing goes missing
Used to be a great app, but I have had multiple times now where I make notes and when I come back the entire page is blank.

I like it but it needs a couple more features
I think with the premium subscription, the app should have each user to have a sign in/account feature. That way I can access everything I have on my app on other devices. I have an iPad and iPhone, I have the app on my iPad and would like to see it on my iPhone. But I do not like to have my devices linked through iCloud. If they would have an account feature I could access it on my other devices.
I use this app to plan my day to day activities and my month to month activities. I use it for a shopping list and also to write out my finances.
I wish there was a way to share with my husband and kids. That way they can see what I have on the calendar.
If there was an account option, they could sign in and access the monthly calendar I have written out on the app.
I really think having an account feature would benefit users.
Small note: The app provides finances sheets, and like I said before I use it to write out my finances. Something that would be an extra perk would be a pop-up calculator like maybe on the top toolbar a calculator button that pops up a mini calculator that you can move around while working on your finances in the app

I NEVER write reviews, but had to for this app!
I am very much a tech enthusiast and have many different tablets, including iPad Mini 7, iPad Pro M4 11”, Remarkable Paper Pro, Remarkable 2, and Kindle Scribe. I have been on a constant search for a way to customize functionality of these devices to fit the way that I prefer to work, and to be aesthetically pleasing as well. I have been building elaborate linked pdf files to work on the devices to create something similar to an “app” for my purposes.
I stumbled across the AJournal app and decided to try it out. When I realized that is would integrate my actual calendar (instead of having to hand write in my old system), that I could customize templates to look any way I want, and that I could create my own work flow, I was sold! I immediately subscribed (price is very nominal for what you get). I would give this double the stars if I could.
I have run across a few bugs that are not critical, but will be submitting to the developer. I HIGHLY recommend this app!

Good but buggy
Works well as a basic planner but when using the daily/weekly layouts (the only ones I use, don’t know if it’s the same on other spreads) my text boxes get condensed or disappear when I click between daily/weekly pages, so I always have to go back and re-size them which gets super frustrating. Also every text box opens the keyboard when you tap on it once, even if you only want to format it. Should change where you have to tap twice to change the text. Besides this, colour options on free version are good, and there are some nice stickers but would like more that aren’t just emoji-style icons.

Syncing is Achilles Heel
Downgrading to 2 stars. Syncing is garbage with this app. I realize they’re depending on iCloud sync, but so do many other apps. The thing spins, content gets overwritten, disabling and re-enabling sync spins into a continued “start fresh” experience. If you plan on using 2+ devices (for me iPad Air and iPad Mini) then think twice. Original review: This is a marvelous app if you like the combo of digital and analog: calendar and reminders sync with pencil support. It is the solution Apple should have provided years ago but I’m happy to pay for a subscription and this developer will always be ahead of slow old Apple.
I use iPad Mini as my primary but also iPhone and iPad. All recent and updated to latest OS. Syncing is a big problem. Developer very responsive but I don’t have time to troubleshoot what is clearly a hacky solution that sometimes sees updates and many times doesn’t. I’ve lost work, had to manually move handwriting between devices. Awful. It’s still worth it but I can basically use only one device for input. Shame. Hope it gets better. Would go to 5 stars if syncing was seamless.
Hope, also, that we can add pdfs like we can templates. Amazing to have a doc for a meeting stored on the appropriate day, with your annotations, preserved forever.

Writable with apple calendar integration
Free version is ten billion times better than the other planers/journals I’ve tried
Great app but isn’t worth a subscription
As the title says, the app is very good but I and many others wouldn’t pay a subscription. It would be interesting to have a lifetime purchase option.
This is the best app I have used by FAR
I tried everything. Downloaded every app for my iPad and could never seem to get my life together. The fact that they offer SO much on the free version makes me happy and willing to pay for the premium, as you can tell they know what they’re doing with the templates, calendar syncing, and ease of you.
Seriously, thank you for not making everything behind a paywall. You’ve made a loyal customer because of it and you’ve made more money in the long wrong because I will be getting premium shortly just to show my support for this app, not because it’s needed to even use the features. It takes time to get used to but once you get it it’s great !

Useful, but hope for some improvements
I really like this App, as I have been searching for something that lets me mix calendar planning and journaling. There are some additions or tweaks that would make it better though. Would be nice if adding links inserted a preview of the linked web page (drag and drop of web pages would be even better). Would be nice to be able to easily extend pages vertically (rather than adding new pages in tabs). Overall very useful though!
