App doesn’t work as advertised.

My app only shows the production in summary section. It’s doesn’t show the usage or the battery being charged or anything else. So I have to take their word for it working how it’s suppose to. I’ve only had it for 2 weeks now. Reading the reviews this is common but the agent is saying conflicting things about the way the app promotes its brand. The demo on the app is nothing like the actual app.

App is horrible

This app is the worst. I have never been able to actually see the real time usage and production of my home. The app crashes all the time and is unreliable. Can't even use it to see bill.

This app is useless

No appointment scheduling, not intuitive to say “click here for production data” and even the rep I am currently on the phone with (because my system is down AGAIN for the 5th time in as many months) says the app is not working right.

Horrible

They accidentally disconnected my panel for 4 months when I didn’t even miss any lease payments and when I called for refund they just told me that they can’t do anything, I guess they can just take your money and mess with your system and there is no way you can get helped.

Don’t believe the positive stars

Be extremely weary of this company. I was force to go with them as a Solar company by my homes builder. The app is glitchy, give inaccurate information, has close to zero customer support built into it. When you do call for support the agents place you on 15-20min holds.

I was told by a “supervisor” agent that my Solar would take 3 months to start working properly. Even though it’s a brand new system. Another agent apparently did not believe me when I was on the phone and said that it was 103 and Sunny when my panels were producing 2.3KW.

Sunnova is 3rd party company that works with Enphase who manufactures the panels, so they are a 3rd part to a 3rd party(home builder). So even they have limited information to your Solar production which makes any kind of service take forever.

No US customer support so agent care very little if your issues are solved.

Love this app!

So user friendly and it makes me so happy to see how much power my system is producing!

Crappy inferior app

We just bought a new home which came with Solar provided by Sunnova. It was activated over a week ago and I have not been able to get any consistent data/ info from this app. The summary doesn’t show daily/ hourly/ weekly production and there’s no data on consumption. When I does decide to show data it’s also inconsistent and incomplete. It’ll show data for a day and then only show 1-3 hours worth of data. When I launch the app the next day everything is gone. Let me be clear, I don’t think this is isolated to the app as I’m seeing the same thing on the website when I log in. So this is like a web app. Linking to a website and serving the same empty data. What gives?? I had SunPower for a year before this and the app was amazing! I could see real time consumption and production. I could see my daily, weekly, monthly production and consumption. I have an EV so I depend on this detailed info to determine when to charge and for how long to charge and to configure how much to charge (amps) so that I’m charging based on my production and not needlessly pulling from the grid. Let’s go Sunnova. Get with the program. This app and your website as it is right now is pointless and useless.

Needs Improvement

The app regularly hangs when attempting to load new data within the production tab.

Also, and more egregiously, any audio I have playing when opening the app gets paused for this app. There is no reason for needing audio priority in this app.

Worthless “Estimated” Data

App only shows “estimated” data, never actual production. Miraculously, every single day on March shows the exact same production for every day of the month. Why in the world can’t this app show actual data? Worthless as is.
