Nice but needs work & no iPad keyboard compatibility?
I’ve been with Roam for years now and waited patiently for a standalone app. Glad it’s finally arrived. It’s got its quirks which they will iron out—BUT!—unless I’m missing something the app is utterly un-useable with a Magic Keyboard [on a 2021 iPad Pro]. Ie: “Return”, “delete”, and other functions don’t map in the app.

doesn’t work at all
I don’t get it. Logged in but it doesn’t show my graphs. Middle button at the bottom does nothing. Quick capture button shows me a moving logo, and does nothing. Can’t even find a page to log out then back in.
Bad experience on iPad, fine on phone
I appreciate the ability to add quick notes via my phone on the app.
However, external keyboards do not seem to be supported on the iPad, where I intend to do a decent amount of work/entry. When I attempt to hit backspace, an internal app menu item is selected instead. Seems to be focused on use of virtual keyboard (i.e. iPhone).

Hey, we've fixed this issue in recent updates, if you give it another try it should work now!
External keyboard doesn’t work
I had been waiting for this, but the app is unusable if I can’t use my external keyboard on my iPad Pro. I still have to go to the website in order to use Roam.
Very rough around the edges
UX is brutal. It’s definitely not a native app and you can tell. Far too janky for my taste. Too much friction to get anything done.
Roam have not forgotten us.
No longer we need to use this Shortcut and install Roam itself by Safari. But the iOS app may needs more improvements.
quick draft
I think an Offline, Quick draft option to organize/go online later would make this app 5
Promising, but keyboard support is poor
Keyboard support via universal control seems pretty broken, no key-repeat. An offline mode is also pretty critical I think.
Mobile app is what I’ve really been waiting for to pay for a subscription, really hoping it continues to improve, because otherwise it’s a great tool!

Too early
Not native experience I expect from iOS app. i was waiting for it long time, but it doesn’t work well as on mobile web and as mobile app. Sometimes can’t remove text input focus from a text field, loading times are high. Login with google goes through a web wrapper. Guys I’m with you with all my heart. I’m tech founder myself, I will change to 5 when you make better experience.

Finally!
This has been greatly anticipated and now appreciated!
