Too temperamental to be reliable, audio is ridiculous
I’ve used these cameras for around 1 year now and sick of the issues with them. At times they work but the best of them includes muffled audio. I was eventually sent one replacement for 2 cameras and that’s did the same. The app is a serious issue and no it is not my phone or my connection or my internet or my house or the air or the weather. All things they’ve blamed for the issues. It gives me notifications on my phone when I’m out and home but won’t let me watch live or look back on my storage when I’m not on the same WiFi connection and even at that it’s still temperamental. I initially had cloud until I realised I didn’t need to pay if I used a memory card which in itself works as it should.
The way they want evidence of issues is just a pain the rear end because they should just listen to customers and believe them because I do not think for one minute that all customers have different issues. I think the issues must be wide spread. Buying from Amazon these days is a risk in itself. Their policy for faulty items is not as it should or used to be. Being forced to keep items and called a liar or the one causing the fault is just diabolical. Statutory rights apply, consumer rights apply also. I need cctv for safety due to vandalism of my cars and prowlers (human kind) in the vicinity of my home and these have left me needing to buy more. Don’t be fooled by the lower price because these items will leave you out of pocket with a stupid system that still renders you helpless and hopeless in mending the cctv to a credible and reliable working level. Purchased DC4L, can’t get them to sync with CloudEdge, loaded the Dekco App and it won’t scan the QR code and had to set up manually. Now it won’t let me set up the second camera. And I also can’t add my two other cameras, so now I have two use two apps. This needs to be addressed to include all models of cameras.Show lessTerrible!
I bought cameras a couple years ago and used the Cloud Edge app. Never had an issue. My camera got broken in a hurricane and I purchased the exact camera on Amazon, but the new camera has to go through a new Dekco app. I purchased 1 subscription for iCloud storage so my camera would be backed up and save the recordings. Then 2 weeks later I received an extra charge to my account. When I reached out to customer service I was told they won’t refund the extra charge, that I must have accidentally signed up for another subscription plan. (Which isn’t true, I didn’t even get into the app until I saw the charge in my bank account) Customer service is no help at all. They basically stole that money from me and won’t tell me any info about my account and what I’ll be charged going forward.Show less
