Wow OODA

I like that you can sequence up to 4 voices and time shift each individual voice.. nice interface and lots more! Does it need a scaler though?

Deep and fun!

By far my favorite sequencer. The voice panel, and the fact that it is separated from the steps is very powerful. Be sure to check out the tutorials on YouTube.

Two improvements I’d love to see:
— copy/paste of steps
— and maybe an option to see which notes have been recorded into each step

Thanks for the kind review! Will keep the suggestions in mind for a future update.

Deep and fun!

Wow! By far my favorite sequencer. The Voice panel, and the fact that it is separated from the steps is very powerful. The UI is set up thoughtfully and very easy to master.

So good, and easy to get lost for hours in it. Be sure to check out the tutorials on YouTube.

If anything, sometimes I’d love to have an option to see which notes have been recorded into each step. But maybe this would make things too convoluted, idk. The current balance between complexity and simplicity is perfect.

Another Creative Tool!

This developer’s apps are fantastic. Very inspiring creative tool. Creates evolving patterns. Really fun to use as a discovery tool.

Thanks so much. Glad you're liking OODA!

So much fun!

Thank you Ryan. This midi sequencer is really fun with a lot of options. I already have a lot of midi sequencers but this one is different. Fun, intuitive + we always can watch your tutorials on YouTube if we want to dive deep into the sequencer. I do not use all the options, but it well worth my money only for the options I use. Works A++ in AUM. Are you working on a new app? Great job!

Preview, See and Edit Notes in Steps

Is it possible to press each step in the sequence or to play the steps manually? Also, when we press each step, can we see the notes on the keyboard and edit the notes.

The preview is really important if we want to hear and modify a step.

Response from developer

Thanks for the review. While the sequencer is running, you can tap on a step and then that step will be the one that plays next. OODA is designed to feel a bit like a hardware sequencer so you are not able to see or edit the notes without recording them again. That being said, this is a very commonly requested feature, so it's definitely something I'll keep in mind for the future.

Garbage

I want my money back. The sequencer is a joke.

Thanks for taking the time to leave a review, I'm sorry to hear OODA isn't meeting your expectations. I encourage you to spend some time with the tutorial videos linked in the description, but if you decide you want a refund, you can request one from Apple here: https://support.apple.com/en-us/HT204084

Great sequencer with a rare feature: Step recording!

I love “Berlin School” type sequencing - mostly on hardware synths. Today I would say that this is the ideal app. On one hand feature rich, on the other not too complicated and a very clean UI. Ideal for jamming. Having proper step recording is a BIG bonus for people like myself, who don’t like fiddling with piano rolls or sequencer sliders, and who are not born piano players.
Song mode or the ability to cue various patterns would be a great feature.

Fun sequencer but please add automation

This is a great little step sequencer. I really like it. The workholes are fun and everything you’ve read about the app is true. I would Love it if I could “record” and automate the Live performance buttons into a performance. The Bump hang and shift keys work well and I find myself wishing I could play my sequence and Record the buttons as I play them live. I notice everytime I play the app I think wow that was great. Shame I couldn’t have recorded those live performances in automation and export the midi.
Great app. Get it. Hopefully the developer will see the potential and update with even more features

Thanks for the kind review! I've gotten a lot of requests for expanded MIDI control/automation and I do have it on my roadmap.

Almost Perfect

This is so close to being my favorite way to sequence on iOS, It’s fast and deep and once you learn to use it allows you to shape really interesting sequences. I’ve already lost hours just playing with portal rules. However, I think the ability to quantize the output to a scale and the ability to use the keyboard to transpose the sequence is missing and would push this to the best sequencer hands down for both compositional and live use.
