Not impressed
Bought tickets for a show a few months ago, I don’t remember there being a clause that said “you will need to download the O2 Academy app”. Instead of me being able to scan all 4 tickets each ticket had to go to individual people who all have to download the app. The app is 17+ and my two kids are younger than that so had to reset their phone permissions to be able to download the app for their tickets. Lots of unnecessary hassle and seemingly just to get your data. Avoid.

Doesn't work if you're not British
Doesn't support importing tickets from international ticketmaster accounts. For example, if my account is set to the US, then I won't be able to see the tickets I bought in England here.
Can’t see tickets
Like others, once I login to ticketmaster in the app, the tickets won’t appear. It’s not after constant refreshing that I finally see them until they disappear again. Very unreliable and unsure what will happen at the gig and if I’ll be able to access them.
Didn’t work
I bought tickets from Ticketmaster for a gig at the O2 Ritz in Manchester. I was asked to download the O2 app in various reminder emails to display my tickets - I did this but the tickets weren’t added. I chatted online with a customer advisor from Ticketmaster who suggested I download the Ticketmaster UK app instead - the tickets were on there straight away and I got into the venue with no problems after adding them to my Apple wallet. The O2 app then had the cheek to send me a reminder about the gig even though the tickets weren’t on there! Won’t be using again

Easy to use
Simple to follow instructions were sent ahead of time for my gig. Easy to set up and transfer tickets. No issues.
Worked perfectly fine for me…
Saw the 1star reviews and kinda panicked…
However downloaded the app, skipped the register screen, clicked tickets and logged in with my ticketmaster login details and voila tickets were there, no issue.

Doesn’t work
Awful app. I resent being forced to install an app and give permission for my all data to be accessed and shared with the 02 partners just to attend a gig.
It’s also funny that it doesn’t even work and says I have no tickets in the app even though when I log into the Ticketmaster website they are there.
Hopefully I’ll still be allowed into the gig next week, either way I’m way less excited to go now.

Ticket disappeared!
Downloaded the app and loaded my ticket in advance, but got to the venue and the ticket had disappeared from the app, saying I hadn’t purchased any tickets! Cue major panic. Luckily logging in on the website showed the ticket and I got in. So don’t bother with the app - you don’t need it, whatever you may be told and it doesn’t work anyway.

Seems like everyone was having issues a couple months back but the app is working as expected now, so I assume that means they’ve fixed it?
