Can’t see my tickets
I bought tickets and was told displaying them in the app on my phone is the only way of gaining entry. Printing tickets supposedly won’t work, only access through the spp is allowed.
Except the app can’t see the tickets (the website can).
So as it stands the app isn’t going to let me into the gig. Whose benefit is this supposed to be for? Certainly not mine.

Useless app
Same issue as everyone else, wouldn't be as annoyed but the email from Ticketmaster implies you NEED this app when clearly you don't.
My tickets don't show up after linking my account so I just followed the advice of other reviews to get my tickets from Ticketmaster website, don't waste your time.

Useless
I bought a ticket for an event, and after purchasing the ticket received an email stating that I had to download the app to access my ticket. However four months later and two months before the gig. My ticket has vanished and the app is telling me that I haven’t purchased any tickets. Now I don’t know if I’ll even be able to access the gig that I’ve paid for. I’ve tried uninstalling and reinstalling the app several times. However, my ticket is still not there. The app doesn’t work properly and I think it’s disgusting that customers are only informed about the tickets only being accessible via the app that doesn’t work properly after they’ve purchased them.

Unable to get past setting permissions
I am attending an event next week and have been told that my ticket is in this app. I have downloaded it and tried to register, but I can never get past this! I always get to “managing permissions”, but no matter what I do, it won’t let me any further. The app just goes blank and then it closes. When I try opening it again, it’s the same white screen with a grey line at the bottom. I’ve tried uninstalling and reinstalling several times but the same thing always happens! I’ve tried the Ticketmaster app and Ticketmaster in multiple browsers in case my ticket is there like it usually is, but I have no luck there either as it just loads for ages saying they’re fetching my tickets. At least that worked at one point, though, whereas O2 Academy app never has! Now I’m scared that I won’t be able to get into an event that I’ve paid money for!

There to make life more difficult
You must give them a huge amount of PII, way more than they actually need, in order to just access your tickets, and there is no other way to access your tickets. So they force this on you - but they do not tell you in advance when you are buying the tickets.
Completely unnecessary
If this app was essential to attending a gig at an O2 venue, why would the Ticketmaster website have a link to add your E-tickets to your Apple wallet?
Completely pointless and yet another thing you need to log in to. Just go to the Ticketmaster website as others have suggested. And if you’re on an O2 phone contract the priority app gives you all the other stuff this app does anyway. Save your time and patience for when you have to queue for a £7 pint at your next O2 venue gig ;)

A pointless waste of time
I received the same advice from ticketmaster as others and it was that my tickets would be available in the O2 app they were not and they are still not available on the ticketmaster app it is the day before the gig what a total shambles and I expect I will get the same response that they are sorry and it has only happened to a few people and it has now been fixed it it clearly isn’t and hasn’t this reflects very very badly on both companies I have no idea if I will get access to this gig tomorrow

You literally do not need this app
Hoping I can save someone, anyone from this pointless task. Ignore what your emails say and go straight to your ticketmaster account where your tickets will be. I don’t understand why companies try to make us jump through hoops to get a simple pass to something we’ve already paid for, with all the ridiculous admin fees for basically ZERO service.

Check the ticket vendor’s website before you download
I downloaded this app after I bought tickets for the academy through ticketmaster. I received an email saying my tickets were available on this app. I created an account after which I went to look at my tickets (requiring the app to access my ticketmaster account). I could see the gigs that I had tickets for but I got a ‘something went wrong’ notification every time I tried to download them. In the end I went to the ticketmaster website and the tickets were there.

We are sorry you had an issue with tickets appearing in app. This affected a small number of users and is now resolved. Tickets will appear as expected.
Pointless, useless, unnecessary app - deleted!
This highlights everything that is wrong with the world (slight exaggeration, I know, but c’mon O2) as it’s clearly a total ploy to get people to download a, quite frankly, useless App. Sunday morning stress caused by finding an email from Ticketmaster stating “The O2 Academy App is your ticket.” Whole email reads as if you have no other choice but to download this app if you want to actually go to the gig you’ve paid for weeks ago! I download the app, sign into my Ticketmaster account, as requested, to be met with a lovely Lemonheads icon…I click (and subsequently about 20 more times, so I gave it a chance) on it to then find…Something Went Wrong - yes, it clearly did, O2, Something’s gone very wrong because then (in a blind panic - I’m very keen to see The Lemonheads, I didn’t get to see them back in the day) when I just simply logged into my Ticketmaster account there is my ticket waiting for me to simply click on Add to wallet and all is well! Thanks for the panic inducing email, but I’ll be unsubscribing from your mailing list and deleting this crap app all the same!
