Movies Won’t Load

This used to be the greatest app for using The Good and the Beautiful curriculum. But within the last week or so, the app stopped loading videos. It simply spins and spins but never loads and never starts. I wanted to reach out to the app developers, but when you tap “App Support” it just takes you to the FAQ on The Good and the Beautiful website. What?? I read a bunch of emails about app frustrations, and the general responses from TGTB was “here is a link for the website.” Why have an app is you’re just going to funnel people to the website when the app isn’t working? I really hope this glitch gets fixed, as I can’t get the videos to work on any of my devices (all up to date, all apps up to date) and I 100% prefer using the app (when it’s working) to going on the website to watch the videos.

Promising

This app has so much potential but it’s unreliable. The videos work great for us. However, the audio stops every time my phone goes to its lock screen. This makes it hard to walk away from my daughter and let her have a few minutes of independence. (Also have you get children who I’m attending to) Every few seconds I have to unlock it and some times it’s mid sentence and there is no way to rewind 15 seconds just to get the full sentence at once. It ends up being extremely frustrating and definitely changes the vibe of our homeschool atmosphere. I have emailed the company about this. Not sure if they care or not.

Please at least make these audio narrations available on the computer so we can listen to them without several interruptions.

We love this companion app!

We use this often with the curriculum. It has its bugs but overall we don’t have much trouble. We can’t wait for more of the booster games to be added. They are a great way to learn the sounds and words. It also provides easy access to the videos we need for the curriculum. Thanks!

Thank you for your review! We're happy to hear the Booster Games are a helpful resource for you. We anticipate additional Reading Booster Games for Levels K-2 will be released in 2024 for a total of 20 games for each level. We would love to hear what you think of the new games once they are added!

Video won’t start

I’ve tried updating my phone, restarting It, deleting the app and re-downloading it but nothing will work. I have an iPhone 12 mini. but what makes me confused is there are other people I know and it works great. so that’s why I give it a three star review instead of one star.

App could be better

It’s good with they have but I really wish they knew what a pain it was to access answer keys on the website when needed in a pinch. Either include them with curriculum or make the accessibility easier on the app. Personally, I feel like they would do all of us a huge favor if they added them to the app. I know my day would go much smoother and faster without having to switch between different kids and their levels on the website.

Good, one bug

When we listen to the preschool songs the first time it plays through perfectly fine. If I watch another song it only plays sound for the first 3 seconds and then cuts out while the video keeps playing. So I have to rewind and start over every time and then the sound works. Tried deleting and reinstalling the app and the problem persists.

Would be great if not for glitch

I use iOS equipment and previously played videos will randomly start playing. Sometimes it just starts playing when I open the app or will start playing in the middle of something else playing. I had two tabs just open not both to play and they both started playing the previous lessons while the new one was playing so 3 videos were playing. Yes I deleted it and reinstalled.
I love the video lessons since sometimes the kids listen if someone else says it, just wish the glitch didn’t happen and there were more videos for other grade levels. Love this curriculum so I will definitely still use it.

Tech issues like everyone else

Love the app, hate all the glitches. If I have to reset my password, it locks me out for days. Have to delete and reinstall constantly. Interrupts our homeschool days constantly, I’ve grown to dread when the book says to use the app because it ends up wasting our time with tech issues.

Level 3 Language Arts glitch

Please fix this. New language arts 3 is wonderful but need convenient access to the videos please. Perhaps post them on the website if the app isn’t working. Thanks
