  • Doesn’t do as it says on the tin!

I have various apps. Mainly strava and garmin connect. It stopped uploading rides so is essentially useless!
  • Great app but needs work

Quite draining on the battery with the auto tracking on and half the time it doesn’t auto track trips and sometimes It auto tracks trips that never happened. Great concept but it’s not there yet. I’ll try again after a few more updates
  • Auto ride tracking is nice

The auto ride tracking is really nice, I’ve used the app for some years, but it’s for really good at tracking rides automatically which makes it way more useful!
  • I ❤️ Love to Ride!

I was keen to log my trips and see my miles but I always forgot to start my old app. This app just gets it right, all my trips are logged and I can see what I’ve done. I had one trip missed but that’s so much better than all my trips being missed when I forget to log them.
  • Do something about your auto logging

It’s atrocious. You either track and log every single place I go (and refuse to delete it for 30 days), which is absolutely asinine and a violation of privacy, or your app does not consistently track and log. You really need an option, like most logging apps, where someone can track and log when they want to track and log. I’m using the app for work for the month of May and then I will be deleting.

Hi Princesskitu Thank you for your feedback. Please be assured that rider privacy is paramount to us and considered in every design consideration we make. All location data from our riders is kept on highly secured and encrypted servers. Please view of privacy policy to see details of our security and compliance framework. Presently it is the case that we only offer auto-logging, this is because making trip logging easy and dependable is the primary goal of the app (we aim to ensure our riders never miss a trip). We do plan to introduce a manual logging feature that lets you log via start and stop GPS recording - but as there are other start/stop apps out there, this hasn’t been our primary focus. We are showing non-bike trips for 30 days to give riders a chance to correct any trips that our automatic logging feature has interpreted wrongly (i.e. the app predicted car trip but you were actually riding your bike). We appreciate that 30 days might be too long for some riders, so we're looking to decrease this or make it configurable in the future. Please note that at any point riders can turn off automatic logging (this setting is on the ‘More’ screen). To confirm, if any type of trip is deleted (manually or after 30 days), then it will be comprehensively erased across our platform without any trace of its existence. We're sorry the app is not for you, but we do appreciate your initial interest and your feedback. Happy biking and best wishes. Laurence and the team at Love to Ride.
  • Great app but massive battery drain

Love the app but it uses 40% of my battery overnight while I'm sleeping...

Hi Andre2576458733 Extensive testing shows that the app tends to use 1-8% of a phones capacity depending on how many rides the user is going on and how often they open the app. The most draining aspect of the app is recording bike trips via GPS - but this is the same as all activity recording apps. The background processes that manage the auto-logging are actually incredibly efficient and use almost no battery. When your not on the move (like at night) the app is essentially inert. If you find the app is useful, we encourage you to perceiver with it and monitor your various apps battery usage via Settings > Battery. Thank you for you interest in our work and your review. Happy biking The team at Love to Ride.
  • Great new app - no need to track!

Found this app worked really well when linked to my Love to Ride user account. Auto trip tracking is great.
  • Great functionality but zaps battery

I’m loving the way the new version of the app auto records rides, but noticed the battery on my phone was dying before the end of each day. Took a look in battery settings and discovered that Love To Ride was responsible - 32% of battery usage in the last 24 hours from running in the background for 21hrs and 37 mins - guessing the other 2hrs 20 was when I was actually riding my bike and it was running in the foreground.

Back to manually entering distances for me - would be much better if this could just link to Health or Activity apps.

Hi RuaReidh Thank you for your support of Love to Ride and your feedback. Extensive testing shows that the app tends to use 1-8% of a phones capacity depending on how many rides the user is going on and how often they open the app. The most draining aspect of the app is recording bike trips via GPS - but this is the same as all activity recording apps. A 2hrs and 20 mins ride will certainly have an impact on the app's use of phone battery (as any app that calls on the GPS for a long period of time would). The background processes that manage the auto-logging are actually incredibly efficient and use almost no battery. When your not on the move (like at night) the app is essentially inert. If you find the app is useful, we encourage you to perceiver with it as the app uses only slightly more battery than manual start/stop logging, yet you never miss a ride. Best wishes and happy biking. The team at Love to Ride.
  • The Love to Ride community

Two things I really value on this app. Heat maps and the community pages where riders share their cycling stories and photos. Have encouraged me to cycle more often and now feeling better for it.
