Useless app

This has to be one of the worst apps I’ve ever used, the search facility just keeps crashing and you have to start again.

just awful waste of time.

this app has to be the worst app ever. Why oh why has no one sorted this out to make it better. Come on developers sort it out.

Unfortunatley we can not provide a timescale in regards to developments but the App is being worked on and receives regular updates, so please look out for any updates. Just awful

Update it says so I update. Remove it says so I remove and reinstall. Update it says… If I could give a lower rating than 1 star I would.

Hi ahhhh12309 thank you for your feedback. Please be assured that if you receive a pop up or notification to update the App, this is in fact a hardware update, and shows on new app instals or existing app installs to make sure the app is running on the latest and correct version.

Awful app

Possibly one of the worst apps I have downloaded. Crashes often, the search lists campsites that are closed or full for the dates searched for. No prices for most of the sites with a message to call the site owners.

If it is a CL site, they require members to call directly to make a booking as they manage their own bookings.

Updated app as requested - still poor

Was told on my previous review to delete the old app and install the latest version as I have done. As part of the new install it asked if I wanted to enable touch i/d which I did. When you run the app it doesn’t ask for touch i/d and lets you straight in so what’s the point??? Also you still haven’t resolved the back button missing issue when you search for a CL and select their website link - you have to start searching all over again. It’s unbelievable that this hasn’t been resolved - what are we paying for!!!

In Spain and app or support can’t send me a simple email to supply ferry details!

So 3,000 miles from home and I book and pay for a ferry costing £680 via app and it doesn’t even send me confirmation to my email address. I then have to phone support in the UK who say they’ll send the ferry details to my email. Two days later and still no email. Nothing wrong with my email address, I’ve had it for 30 years, it’s also been my registered email address with CAMC for over a decade, but now CAMC can’t even email me a receipt for my £680 and I have no ferry details to go on and nothing to show at ferry port when I turn up!
Complaints sent to CAMC are met with automated responses that say they’ll contact me within 10 days! 10 days! When I’m in a foreign country needing help now!
This app is useless and so is support. I am going to cancel my membership as I get nothing in return but a load of trouble!

Impossible

So, when we tried to join the app maintained that the address that it had inserted itself from our postcode was not correctly entered, a bug we could not get past. We were joining at a stand at a show so then had to start all over again on paper. Despite being reassured that we were now members, lack of a membership number caused problems only resolved by a lengthy phone call.
The website search function is poor. We wanted to find a place near family in Cheshire. Search results suggested County Durham. We eventually booked a place using the handbook and map, and expected to be able to find the same information on the website. There is very little correlation between the two.
The website won’t let me access my membership card directly or save it to my Apple wallet as, despite having welcomed me by name on the home page and reminding me of my membership number, it is very doubtful of my membership status.
Can’t be bothered and now use Search for Sites which has all your sites on it in marked by a green flag.

CAMC App

Contrary to the many negative comments about the CAMC App., we have had no problems with the latest version. As usual it took us a bit of time to find our way round the site but after a few bookings we have got used to it and have had no trouble finding what we want, checking availability and booking a site. A booking reservation is usually sent through within 5 minutes.

Not fit for purpose

We have been members for many years staying on CL sites. Since updating the app it is almost impossible to view sites on the map in the area we are interested in. Cannot zoom in, information far too slow to load. The previous version worked well. I am using this on home WiFi so no connection problems. We will definitely be cancelling our membership as it is hopeless trying to find a site now.

Agree, app not fit for purpose

You can search by location (if you select ‘location’ rather than name of campsite…) however once the search comes up and you open map, if you try to zoom in more than once to see what each campsite is called the screen does go white and crashes and you have to start all over again. Only 1 other person has taken the time to offer feedback and developers asked them to send screenshot yet with 137 one star ratings, I think the app developers should be doing the job themselves.
