  • Ver 9.3.4 is really good!

A lot of issues are finally fixed in this new version and highly recommend. Cloud syncing doesn't timeout, reliably responsive now. Top row icons now work straight-away at startup.

I'm a long time user, moved up to Pro 9 last spring. I could tell right away a lot of thought went into this next-gen version, but it was just not ready for prime-time. Syncing issues, among others. Pro 9.3.4 is now the one to use...go for it!!!

  • Terrible App, previous version 8 much better

Where to begin on version 9. As of July 2024 version 9.3.3 won't sync attachments from mobile to desktop versions. YOU LOSE ANY ATTACHMENTS DURING SYNC! Migration was a nightmare from version 8. Basic sync and crashing issues throughout 9.1, 9.2. As poor of a rollout as I have ever experiences. Contact with support gives same ole answer "We value your feedback and working on issue". If I didn't have so much data already in Splash ID would cancel and use something else. Next Apple OS update with new password program will probably put Splash ID out of business.

  • Developer Suicide I guess

I have been a satisfied lifetime user, until now unfortunatley. I wrote support over a month ago with questions about Splash 9 and whether it was going to further cost lifetime users (something I was promised would never happen if I bought a lifetime license). I guess that was just a marketing ruse to get more money. Just like this version is as well. I have waited a month and emailed twice. No response. This developer used to respond quickly to inquiries. Then again, I doubt he wants you to know that lifetime members will be charged $100 if they upgrade. Given the other poor reviews here and the decision of the developer to not be forthcoming or answer any questions, my only guess is they are committing App/Developer Suicide. That is really too bad.

  • Thirteen giant steps backward

I have used Splash ID since it begain as a Palm app.
Splash ID 9 is a complete debacle. The Instructions are extensive, yet seem to bear no relation to the app itself, which just doesn't work. The, apparently mandatory, 2-factor authentication yields codes which are not accepted by the app.
I have a lifetime subscription to Splash ID Pro. That seems to be useless, contrary to the promotional promises made.
Apparently I'm not the only one to have problems with the app, before I even attempt to transfer, since I wrote support, which used to be good, for help, followed-up several days later when I got no response, other than an automated acknowledgement. That was a week-and-one-half ago, and still no word. I guess I'm due for an extended hand-written back-up so that I can manually shift to some other password keeper.

  • No problems yet

I was a bit concerned when I looked at the reviews on the MAC App store. I was almost hesitant to proceed. But I decided to go ahead since I could still function with Version 8 Pro. So what were the concerns listed in the app store.
    1. Could not migrate – It worked just fine for me.
    2. Lifetime account would not migrate – It worked just fine for me.
    3. Could not do a local sync – The install gave me the options of Cloud, Local WiFi or No sync.
    4. Issues with support – I received a response early on the next business day.

Don't let them scare you off. So far this is working great. The enw interface is a bit different than I am used to but has a lot more capabilities and is more configurable. Good Job.

  • Huge disappointment

Like some other reviewers, I have been using SplashID for a very long time (Palm Pilot days). This is the first time I’ve had serious problems with their product. I prefer to WiFi sync and this app (latest version 9.3.0 and previous version) will not sync between my Windows computer and my iPhone or iPad (I have it installed on all 3 of these devices). Support at Splashdata seems to be a one man operation. I’ve been waiting more than 2 weeks to get resolution to this problem. I read on some other reviews that support helped them to fix WiFi sync, but no such luck for me. Perhaps their desktops are Macs. I am super disappointed in this company after many years of a good business relationship. I’m very close to moving on to a different password management platform and suggest that if you are seriously looking at using this app, look elsewhere.

  • Pretty good multi-platform PW mgr!

Pretty good multi-platform PW but it is not as refined as it could be. And it seems they have these little UX bugs that take months and sometimes a year to fix as well as features that take forever to improve. This App’s real strength though is their secure cloud infrastructure and multi-platform capability across all of Apple devices (Sndroud too). Their support is also usually pretty good although they arm to get backed up at times. SplashID Pro 9 though is a huge step forward from the prior releases!

  • V9 is a Great Upgrade

I’m guessing many of the poor reviews are related to previous/beta versions of this app. I just finished upgrading from V8 to V9 and so far haven’t seen any of the issues others have reported. I much prefer the new interface and the app is much faster. I really like that I can still choose to keep all of my data local, and 2FA is a great addition. My data rransfer was simple enough. I had to replaced a few of my custom icons, but no biggie. I was very pleased that Splash Data is honoring Lifetime Subscriptions from V8 for V9. I’ve seen other apps use upgrades as a way to screw lifetime subscribers to generate more subscriptions (Hello Wondershare!). Customer service was excellent. My concerns were addressed with only 2 emails and responses from Ram were very timely. All-in-all, I’m very pleased with the upgrade.

    V9.3 Update
This was a great update that addressed all of the major glitches I’ve noticed (long load/refresh time, biometric support on Mac, overlapping fields in a record). Well done, guys!

  • Hard start but 5 stars now

4 June 24 Update: really starting to like v9. Just got to play around a bit to see what everything does. Plus, their fixes have addressed some major issues. Keep it dev team. Original 4 star post: Been a long time user. Always WiFi sync only. Import to my windows desktop was ok. Only lost 5 records out of 650+. Will do an export of v8 to compare. But could not get WiFi sync to work to get the records over to my iPhone. Documentation is very weak. After a few days waiting on tech support, I was finally provide the correct procedure. Now up and running. Recommend: 1) greatly beef up the documentation and FAQs 2) put the newly expanded document into the app

  • Much, much better…

I’ve been using SplashID for many years but after I updated to version 9 Pro several months ago it has been challenging. I opted to go with Wi-Fi sync after encountering some wonkiness of Cloud sync. However with persistence the workability of this app has progressively improved until now, with this latest update, it has become one of my favorites. Very pleased!
