  • Lots of errors

Liked the app bought it and tried to learn French. And omg there are many errors, bugs like not showing the blank, once there was like a wrong verb. I don’t know abt the other languages but it’s not the best for French, especially when it tries to teach verbs, the conjugation gets confusing
  • AMAZING!!!! I love this APP

Thank you for creating the language app of my dreams. It combines actual word usage from movies, anime, tv-shows in bite size formats that make the exercises fun and easy to do. I love the ability the app has to record my voice and replay it!!! Then an AI scores the pronunciation to tell you how well you did!!!! I’ve dabbled with Duolingo, Babel etc. but the other language apps weren’t as robust and amenable to me. Thank you for all the hard work you’re team put into making this app

    Developer Response

You are so welcome! This made my day! It's just 2 of us and we work really hard. I'm glad it is helping people.
  • enjoy hearing natural language

I enjoy the variety of clips shown when learning vocab. It helps me understand the many contexts a word can be used in. I am also able to hear how the words are natural
    spoken in the real world!
  • Really enjoying the app and the Developer is extremely helpful

I downloaded this app as I had seen it advertised and we just booked a trip to Japan. I’ve always loved watching anime and would love to be able to understand while I’m watching as well. The way this system immerses you into the learning process is actually really surprising. I’ve done a lot of different language apps before and this is the first one where I feel as though I am picking it up extremely quickly. I absolutely would recommend this app to anyone looking for a different method to how many of the other apps work.

Along with that I was having an issue with the app and wrote into support. To my surprise the CEO emailed me directly within the day and made things right. Along with that they were incredibly responsive. Really just made me like this app even more!

  • paywall

it started off good but you can only access 3 lessons before having to buy premium. wish this was clearer in advertisements
  • Not bad not bad

I think this app is pretty cool. I’m so thankful it gauged my learning level instead of just making me start as a beginner. I’d like to see a few different kdramas used as references (just because I think it’d be more fun) and I’m actually interested in doing the 1 year subscription, but I’d much rather pay monthly than pay $50 all at once. If that ever becomes an option I’m all in.

  • Good app

Very good app and helps a lot with vocab and learning French :D I think the purchase is totally worth it. There is still some tiny imperfections but overall they do not affect the learning experience. It’s fun and easy a lot more helpful than Duolingo for me
  • Good app but very limited selection of languages

I’m happy the more trendy languages get attention but you’d think mandarin chinese or russian would be in the mix. It’s too limited in my experience. The app itself is ok.
  • Not great

The idea behind it is good. But the delivery is not. First of all, some of the clips they have don’t even play in completion, so you don’t even hear the actual word you’re learning being used. It cuts off right before the actor can even begin their sentence.
Secondly, some of the definitions they provide don’t even coincide with the clips they use. For example, they say the definition of “날“ is day, day time and weather. Which should mean that the example for the dialogue they give would be “날씨” - which means weather in Korean. Instead, the example they give is “나“ which means “I” in Korean. What?? How does that even make sense.

If you’re going to show that words have multiple meanings, they have all the meanings in the definition you provide. Don’t leave it out. Otherwise it just makes the app look super messy. I can’t believe I subscribed for this. You’re better learning on your own. Cancelling immediately.

  • Most interesting language app released

Extremely fun way to increase vocab. Much better than duolingo, because it shows real world contexts. Please add mandarin! Edit: after paying, I’ve noticed some of the vocab showing a similar but not same word to the word being taught, for example learning 눕다 but showing clips for 누구. Seems like they don’t proofread the words/lessons… which makes it confusing. Originally 5 but taking down since it’s become a regular occurrence.
