More of an accessory to learning
App works great for what it is. As a stand alone method of learning a language I doubt you could get fluent no matter how long you use it for.
However, I think it works great as an accessory to your learning. Specifically for real paced listening practice.

Great App
Extremely easy to learn Japanese on Umi. Would highly recommend for anime loving fans. A search bar would make this app perfect when reviewing historical words.Bossils
Good but forcing you to buy premium
Good base for an app - but first 2 lessons are free and the rest is behind paywall. I thought it would be limited to two free lessons per day, but no, next day it is still locked because I have to pay premium. You can tell the people who created this app really care and understand language learning. I love that they pulled from a wide variety of media to help with hearing different tones and voices which really helps you pick up the sounds intonations of languages. One of the best language learning apps
I always felt that the best way to learn a language was with sentences of real life examples I found this app and I didn't doubt about buying lifetime subscriptionAlfonso Armesto
Not bad
Great app. I like this style of learning better than Duolingo.
The vids stopped working for about a week and there was no communication from the devs. I just kept checking twitter(X) and my app everyday to see if it was fixed.
I’d also like to see a more improved UI in the future!Beembip

Language learning features actually quite impressive. Used to be able to use it for free with ads. The ads were completely reasonable considering it was free, and they offered premium plan if you wanted no ads, which is fair. Then it became only one free lesson a day unless you had premium. Now it seems I can’t do any lessons at all unless I buy premium. And they are asking too much for the premium plan. Not a bad app if you can afford it, but I honestly don’t think it’s worth the money when there are so many free and cheaper options out there.Show lessRainbow Burrito

I like the app. But you get only a handful of lessons then you have to pay. No free option at all. Not worth downloading unfortunately. Either have it as a paid app to start, or offer a free option with ads or something. I feel that’s a sleepy business practice tbh. And plenty of other apps that offer a free option. Sorry.
