Good app
Best invest are a decent company to invest with and this app is very useful for researching funds and investing then keeping track of the portfolio. There is one niggly issue with logging in to the app, it offers the set up via Face ID on Apple iPhone which I do but then when revisiting the app later Face ID does not work you have to set it up again. I have managed to set it up again it works a couple of times then it has to be set up again. There does not appear to be any support number for app tech issues.
I’m running IPhone 15 latest iOS.
I had a response from the developer who say they are aware of the issue for some users and are working on a fix. An update from myself - If log out of the app I have the issue logging in next time, if I leave the app without logging off on my return face recognition works.Show lessDeveloper Response

Just set this app up yesterday and was pleased to see that it supported faceId but I’ve only used it once and I now cannot click use faceID button as it doesn’t do anything?Developer Response

The app design is low contrast and there is no way to change the colour scheme, contrast or the font size to make it more legible. For anyone older or with any visual impairment at all it is simply awful.
The app regularly fails to load data and the only way to fix it is to delete and reinstall and the FaceID rarely works for more than 2 days.
With regard to the product. Best Invest don’t have a stop loss function which is simply unforgivable and say they can’t implement one due to the custodian they use. Stop loss functionality is available from most of their competitors so I wouldn’t recommend their product on this basis alone.
A tiny range of US stocks are available and none from any European exchange. If you want to hold US stocks then you have to phone up and then some weeks later someone will complete it and you find out by not getting the error message.
There is little or no research available for equities or ETFs so you find yourself searching Hargreaves Lansdown and what there is is inconsistent.
Bestinvest seems to be targeting the Freetrade or first time investor demographic, but its prices are way too high. If you’re a hands on investor then get a different product. If I was opening an account again I’d do it with Interactive Investor.Show less
