  • Needs work

I like how the app is set up. Simple enough.

I got this ring for the step count, because I don’t want to always have my phone on me and I don’t like to wear a watch. But the step count seems high. (It thinks I’m moving when I’m laying on the couch 😆) Which is a shame. I thought by now they’d figure out the difference between a hand moving and an actual step. But as long as it’s constant, I can still work with that.

Also I wish I could connect the Evie app to my workout apps. Having to log workouts on multiple app is kinda stupid. I hope it gets improved. Nice enough to wear though. Sadly the sleep function isn’t not good. I woke up one morning at 8am, went to the rest room, got my clothes, synced my ring and put it in the case to charge while I showered, then put it back on, got finished at home and drove to work. (Got there a little before 9am) When I was at work I checked on my sleep and it said I woke up at 8:47 😆 that I had deep sleep during that time. This is happening a lot. Also if you lay in bed before sleep, it thinks you’re sleeping already. Soooooo that function isn’t too useful. I know this is an app review not for the ring but, there is no where to write a review for the ring that I could find.

I hope upgrades help as I am enjoying wearing the ring. It’s comfortable and it is helping me remember to move more.

  • Deceptive company

This company‘s launch of the Evie Ring was one of the worst I’ve ever seen as far as product launches are concerned. Upon reaching out to the company for a refund, they acknowledged my request the next day and then proceeded to not only NOT refund me, but also ignored my requests for updates for more than a week after. I’ve still yet to get in contact with them and have reported them to PayPal. Multiple people have seen huge glitches with the ring’s connection to the app, including things like seeing 99,000 steps in a day or being completely unable to connect at all or unable to spot check metrics like SPO2. The company also changed their language more than once about their promised shipping date, and they eventually refused to engage with customers on their social media or deleted their comments. The product was clearly a beta product that was shipped too early before any of the kinks were worked out, and customers that waited a very long time for the product are suffering for it.
