    Glaringly Missing Feature: Audio meters

The functionality of the app for multi-cam control is fantastic considering it requires no extra hardware except an iPad.
However, multi-camera setup is extremely tedious and requires a router access point without an iPad with Cellular. Since Apple has removed the option to create ad-hoc networks, there’s no way to connect multiple cameras to an iPad without a cellular iPad or an external router.

Sony has added USB-C connection. This is fantastic for one camera. Resolution and speed is superb. However, USB-C only works with one camera at a time. Multi-Camera still does not work. If Sony would add the option to use a USB-C hub and connect multiple cameras, this app would be complete.

The tools like waveform and false color are adequate, but low resolution and blocky. Hopefully Sony will refine the exposure tools and add audio meters in a future update. Adding the ability to use USB-C hubs for Multicam would also be a huge update.

One more thing. The false colors and waveform are decent, but are low resolution. And, vertical flip is not an option. Hopefully Sony will refine the exposure tools in a future update.

  • We need support for more cameras!

I really like this app because its far more useful than creators app but you need to add support to more cameras. I have the sony a7iv for example.
  • It’s connects…. But

Would happily pay for this app if it was more stable.. it will connect but the multi-camera features will not, tried to re-install a few times and no luck.

I have had problems with this app in the past but my patience is getting thinner every time I open this
  • Won’t Connect

I was very optimistic about this app but doesn’t work. Can’t get it to connect on iPad or iPhone. Been trying for over a week. Deleted the apps and redownloaded, checked my camera to make sure it’s been updated. Still nothing.
  • Unusable

I’ve spent the last three days trying to get this app to work but to no avail. This was a complete waste of time. Nothing will connect, no matter over wifi, Bluetooth, nothing.

Sony, if you want to make apps, make them paid and usable, not unpaid and unusable. Look at RED or ARRIs camera control apps.

I would happily pay for this app to work. But it doesn’t, it falls at the first hurdle. Don’t believe what the Filmmaking Gear YouTubers tell you.

This app is a waste of time.

  • Support for cameras

Could you please announce when you will be able to support the new cameras you put out since 2020(a7IV)
  • Doesn’t work with A7r5

    Oh well
  • Great App but no audio monitoring

LOVE this app. Very easy to use and intuitive. My only complaint is no audio monitoring. I understand that the audio is a physical control, so I don’t need to actually adjust it through the app. Just monitor it to check levels. If I’m filming myself or am in the interview on a multicam set up I need to still use another monitor or record sound separately which almost negates the convenience of the app.

  • Worthless at the moment

The app worked great when it first came out and I’ve spent 2 hours trying to connect with no luck. Hopefully it gets fixed.
