Great stuff
Fellow atp fan, use this app everyday well done my friend.
A ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ App Hampered by ⭐️⭐️⭐️ APIs
I’ve been hemming and hawing whether to make this a four-star or three-star review.
It’s rare to come across an app that is so thoughtfully designed, with so much love put into it, but be frustrated by conditions outside of the developers control. I’ve subscribed to this app for over a year now, but I still run into little things that bum me out. All of this must be blamed on The Movie Database.
IMDB is a closed system, there’s no way to get around this. But it’s still inadequate. For example; a lead actor in a STARZ series was once in an episode of LOST. I searched Callsheet to confirm if it’s this person, but they do not have any info on his speaking role in LOST. I switch over to IMDB, and there it is, one of his first roles, in IMDB’s system. A prime example of wanting to open Callsheet is hampered by the database it uses.
Does this lessen the experience of Callsheet? I believe it does, but I can’t really fault the developer. It’s just a disappointment that lessens my joy out of a truly joyful app.
My other issue is search. We’re in the 2024-25 TV season, which means I’m searching for TV shows at times. I have no idea why the results are… well, less than. If I’m starting to write “Saturday Night”, I imagine the results will either give me “Saturday Night Live” or the new film “Saturday Night” as the top result. They are third and fifth, respectfully. No clue who is searching for “Ant & Dec’s Saturday Night Takeaway”. What if I try “SNL”? Well, it’s now dropped to tenth.
Search and TMDB are my major limitations from ever truly recommending the app. If you are a person who loves well-designed, ad-free apps, this is ABSOLUTELY the one to get.
For most everyone else? IMDB is still there, ads and all.

Best way to access information about films and TV shows
I really enjoy Callsheet and find myself regularly opening it when watching something or discussing media with others. It’s far superior and easier to use than alternatives such as IMDB, and is fast and reliable.
The subscription model is reasonably priced and fair given the API calls required, and constant updates from Casey.
It would be a five star for me if the UI and app icons were more to my taste, but that’s very personal preference. I would also love more options on the quick button available when viewing a film or TV show, such as being able to get straight to details like quotes, etc.

So much better than IMDb
Callsheet is beautifully designed and a pleasure to use.
Has some really nifty features, like actors’ age during the role and, where to watch and end credit scenes alerts.
Have been really enjoying using callsheet

Essential App for Movie and TV Lovers Seeking Quick, Reliable Info
Callsheet is a sleek, ad-free app that offers quick access to cast, crew, and production details for movies and TV shows. With its intuitive design and fast, reliable information, it’s perfect for film and TV enthusiasts who want a clutter-free way to explore their favorite content.
Nice app, mediocre data sourcing
I really have enjoyed the overall funcationality of this app over its first year. I've only now just decided to cancel the subscription.
The reason for the cancellation is because the app relies upon a database of film/tv/movies that I've noticed has so many holes and inaccuracies so I end up just going to wikipedia or other web sources to confirm info from tv shows or movies or about actors.
Just watched all 10 seasons of Friends and unfortunately the database that Callsheet is using was missing so many guest actors and side characters. Also, I just looked up some information about Kumail Nanjiani and also Joel Kim Booster and things like birthdates and shows they're in were inaccurate or not listed at all.
It's not the fault of the app per se but I just find myself not going to the app as much when wanting to look something up. The ultimate solution would be challenging but would be to build its own database, no small feat, I realize.

Good, clean and very useable
No messing. Gets you straight to the info you need with no interruptions or distractions that try to get you to buy unnecessary stuff.
Sometimes the info seems to be a little lacking as if the backend database doesn’t have the full depth of knowledge that IMDb seems to have. But perhaps that’s not a bad thing. I’m not complaining though.
One of the few apps that I think is actually worth paying for. This app seems to be under continuous development and each release makes it even better value for money.

Great app
Easy to use. Use it almost every day. It would be cheap at double the price.
Just use chatgpt
You can literally ask chat gpt “who’s the tall scientist guy in Independence Day and where do I recognise him from?” and it will answer it perfectly and tell you he’s Brent Spiner and he plays Data in Star Trek. Why pay for a subscription for such a basic feature? Especially to a guy who weaponises his popular podcast to guilt you into giving this app 5 stars and paying for it forever when it should be a single purchase
