Doesn’t do what it says it can do
Two things that it says it can do is a) automatically send a periodical report to your accountant. b) you cannot download an expense report by specific date range. Not even quarterly.
It would get 5 star but…
I have used 1tap for many years, and yes it’s useful but however the issue I have with it is the limit that it has to read receipts automatically. The problem they face is people will turn to ai which is mostly free and unlimited. I am sitting here waiting for a month to renew to re register more expenses. I don’t have time for all of the manual typing i am having to do.

This app has made everything so much easier for me, before this app I had 100s of receipts lying around the house unorganised this app has changed everything for me

No reply to support requests- photos of receipts are not processing

Cannot export any of my receipts, emails never arrive, support never responds.
Do not put months of effort into this to then find you can’t access your receipts!

Sadly no human to ask a simple ‘how do you process receipt manually that has failed automatically’ and yes I have logged out and in to force them to. Failed.
You cannot write a report that is subtotaled by category
I really wish that I loved this app. There’s a lot of good things to say about it. But when you want to run a report, you cannot run one that gets subtotaled by category. It seems like a simple thing, and they didn’t do it. It’s a big miss.

No updates for a while
1tap has been an amazing app for self employed people but there have been no significant updates now for years. The mileage and invoicing features have always just said ‘coming soon’ online and now the app has not even been updated to work properly with iOS 26. With Making Tax Digital launching now I would have hoped the system would be compatible but looking unlikely.

Tax Timesaver App
Automatically uploads receipt info I just pick the tax category assignment and bam all populated fields are recorded w/o having to manually enter each field into database. Keeps it all stored in the app. No messy receipt piles scattered about last minute trying to beat deadlines already done w 1tap receipts. I love it. Wonderful concept.

I’ve been using it for almost a week and it’s so easy and simple and it calculates my tax for the year end too!! Could not be easier!

Can’t upgrade half way through year?
I went for the slightly lighter account type because I wasn’t sure how many recipets I would be taking photos of. Anyway I ran out of shots so tried to upgrade and it seems to be impossible.. I have to wait until the 12 months is up? And customer service just ignored me so I’m having to look elsewhere

Very helpful app
Easy to use
It’s very simple to use and I like it. I just want something that will put my receipts in the proper tax category and send it to my accountant at year end -then he can figure out everything else
It would be nice if there were categories for medical expenses, charity etc. I know it’s not part of the profit and loss statment, but it would certainly help small business owners in the U.S

Lots of errors and glitches
Been using for a while now but lots of issues with this. Regularly fails to upload receipts properly, often stores the same receipt 5-8 times; all of which have to be opened to be deleted and allow you to start again. Doesn’t allow proper editing if wrong category added by error; you have to delete the whole entry and look again. Previous years unavailable unless recent, so historical storage problems. Long winded wait for every upload and expensive considering how clunky this app is. Time to try another app for me.

No support no upgrade
I love the look of the app but they quickly it wanted me to upgrade. Despite many attempts this failed would not do it from the phone and when I went online the payment section failed to go through on any card nor was there a PayPal option which is often easier. So sadly despite contact in Support with no response I’ve had to delete the app.a great shame Ami has looked really good, but then it’s got to work!

nput seems purposefully bad and designed to push you towards scanning receipts. No way to sort receipts by supplier
