Would be great if it shows the time table of the next arriving train!
Just so simple
This is all you really need. Something that changes with the time of day that you can navigate with just one thumb and make sure you don’t screen yourself up if you’re headed someplace new. I’ve had this app for 10 years and re-download with every new phone.
Some apps try to over complicate things and worry about directions etc. but this isn’t that and I love it.

The prettiest and least cluttered subway app I think
I’ve had this app since 2011 and it is still the best for figuring out routes, checking if there are delays, and how long a journey takes when going to a new neighborhood for the first time. It’s also the prettiest and the least cluttered nyc subway map.

Well worth buying the full version. Pinch and zoom was fine in the free app but the full version shows street names, local attractions, estimated train arrival at a specific stop and access to

You don't have to remember (or guess) which trains and stops are local or which trains and stops are express.
Attractive design!
Very appealing to look at. And I have to check daily so it’s nice to have a map that’s well designed.

One issue I noticed is WTC Cortlandt only shows the 1 train when there are actually several trains that go there.
