I use this app the most. You get a choice of difficulty levels and there are various levels of help you can ask for, whether it's doing pencil marks for you, checking your answers, undoing to a solvable place or hints and explaining hints.
There is a good tutor section and you can even scan in puzzles from newspapers.

Great Sudoku app with many cool features and varied levels of difficulty to beat by improving your times. Worth the money.
Wrote the above review a year ago on v3. Still playing this game regularly and getting good value out of it. If you like Sudoku then this app will be a good purchase.
And a few years on (2015) this App has only improved with new layouts and many minor enhancements that are appreciated. Excellent.
And in 2016...just buy the app. Good for learners and experts alike.

The best, almost...
The best of the best. However, I give this app 4 stars. It should have:
-an independent function to erase entries as if you were using an eraser available at all times.
An *eraser* is available when the color function is turned off but one might want to have these functions working together
-when using the "paper&pencil" option and all 9 digits of a number have been entered, it would be of some help if in the number-selection-panel the color of the number is colored.

Great friendly graphics, with all the features you need. Great progressive hints and tutorials when needed.

Best Sudoku on iOS. Very clean and intuitive interface. Tested and discarded many others before buying this one.
Excellent range of graded games.
I particularly wanted its multi level hints and camera import option.
However, in my opinion, some of the more difficult methodologies are explained better by other authors and the links to Sudopedia are broken. I

The best iOS Sudoku app available
This is the only app for serious Sudoku solvers using and iOS system. It has all the functions that an experienced "solver" needs and they can be learned and used by a beginner. Hints are available when all else fails and the explanations of each hint are very clear, helpful and educational. I've used this app for several years and you will only find a comparable or better one in a PC environment.

Love this app. It has options to adjust the interface to suit your personal style of play. A comprehensive level of game difficulty to accommodate beginner to expert players. Help if you need it and well designed instructions if you wish to learn strategies to improve your play.

The free version was a favourite, but the paid version is much better. Even accommodates different preferred methods of play. Highly recommended.
