Not bad
This is mostly great, but the problem comes with the inconsistent selections. It’s very easy to get either get caught in the wrong mode (notes vs final selection) or have it sometimes deselect the square you’ve entered a number (which is what you’d expect) and sometimes keep the selection, depending on whether you’re double tapping to take the last note, writing the number, etc. It’s just a bit painful and other versions of Sudoku do it better. It could also be a bit prettier and doesn’t seem to challenge with x wings, y wings etc. even on the Evil setting.
