YES! GET THIS APP!
UPDATE: Original review written long ago. Last week I returned to this game & it’s as great now as it was then, so didn’t edit my 1st review.
ORIGINAL REVIEW: This app is FABULOUS. The games are great, many level, & so many options that are easy, easy to customize. You can even choose from among several fonts and skins, 3 choices for handling pencil marks, sound on/off, etc. I used many free Sudoku apps before choosing one for purchase, and I'm so happy to have chosen this one.
There's so much offered with this app, and thankfully it's presented in a clear manner; it's not overwhelming. One option here I haven't read in other reviews is "coloring" related squares (softly, behind the number) to aid in candidate elimination. There's also a tutorial in the app explaining the game; haven't seen this in other Sudoku apps.
I think this app is UNDERpriced & certainly recommend it.

Great game; no ads
This NO ADs game is awesome! It provides so many different ways to enter Sudoku game play. The pencil mark coaching was the missing link between paper and electronic play. Further, the various process automations make the game more fun and less tedious.
I’m playing this game on an iPad Pro. The interface functions well in LANDSCAPE. The app even simplifies the use of pen and pencil keypads by separating them on the larger screen. Nice.
Finally, I will gladly pay $$$ for a solid game that does not bombard me with ads and up-sells.

Best Sudoku App Out There
Whether you are relatively new to sudoku or are a long time addict, this app is perfect for you. It is customizable to the point that if you are used to some of the “helps” that many apps incorporate, you can allow them in the settings. If you are straight up, no hints, no auto pencil marks or somewhere between two extremes - it’s perfect. Not only that, the tutorials and the ability to learn how to solve the puzzles as you move up in difficulty are very helpful! To sum it all up, whether you are just discovering the “Joy” of sudoku or are a longtime aficionado, this is the app for you.

All In One Masterpiece
What a system of graduated levels of play, automatic assistance features, hints if wanted, and even, a comprehensive tutorial! I am a 73year old male with Parkinson’s and absolutely love this for its therapeutic value plus I just like Sudoku. I start each day with a Devious and then go to Diabolical if my mind is up to it. Really would love to see Jason put out a hardcover version of his most excellent tutorial/encyclopedia. My guess is that it would be an immediate best seller amongst Sudoku Books! Deeper than I thought
I went from never trying sudoku to playing daily thanks to this app. The extensive hints and tutorials opened a whole world “under the hood” that I did not know existed. I had assumed that sudoku was like solving a maze where you tried something and backtracked when encountering a dead end. I’m sure you can play that way, but there are patterns and techniques (discussed in the hints) that require no guessing, just careful lines of thought.

Best iOS Sudoku - only one missing feature
Probably the best & most complete Sudoku app on iOS. I love the many difficulty levels and the built-in training & hint system as well as the ability to create puzzles from the camera and photo library. The only missing feature is having “central” pencil marks in addition to the standard corner marks. I like using the Snyder (corner) notation to keep track of when there are exactly two possible positions for a number in a square, but I would also like to note where an individual cell has restricted possible solutions. The only app I am aware of that does this is “Classic Sudoku” by Cracking the Cryptic. I wish :)Sudoku+ had this feature - then it would be the only Sudoku app I need!

Perfect Sudoku app
I fell in love with the free “Daily” version of this app but actually I tend to play 4 of 5 games in a row so this was the answer for me. You can turn help and guides on and off, choose your preferred difficulty level, and even scan in puzzles from newspapers and books. You are given a time taken and a rating against other people playing the same puzzle, if you are a bit competitive! If not, it’s fine. You don’t have a profile or log in so nobody knows who you are. If you get stuck there are hints, each backed up by a training tutorial. It’s absolutely perfect.

Great teaching tool!
Like others, I tried several others before I found this one. I had no clue how people were solving difficult puzzles in 3-4 minutes. I was taking up to an hour on some puzzles. In only 1 day after using the hints button, I can now solve diffIcult level puzzles in less than 4 minutes, without help! This is the best money I have EVER spent on an app. First class. You can tell a lot of work went into this app to make it so effective at teaching new techniques to solve even the most difficult puzzles. Love it!

Love this game
This is the best sudoku game app I’ve found so far. Provides me with different levels and challenges. I can really tell how much this game increases my critical thinking skills. I was up to fiendish level and I stopped playing for awhile and when I started playing again I had to go back several levels and start over at the mild level. I’m now up to moderate , but have a ways to go before leveling up.
