Well thought out and complete
This dice app is well thought out and complete. It lets you see the dice as you roll them (as opposed to numbers just appearing), and goes above and beyond the call of duty by providing histories, different backgrounds, colors, and even let's you make custom dice (in app purchase)!
Nice improvments for higher res devices, but...
No custom backgrounds? And the existing backgrounds are still low resolution. Please, fix this oversight.
4 stars for continuing to support a 99¢ app, the 5th will come if either of my two issues are addressed.
Oh, and as soon as I figured out how, I immediately bought the in-app purchase for custom dice. Not because I loved the idea (don't get me wrong--it really is a nice feature), but to support the continuing development of Mach Dice.

Good
Very nice animations, the dice are well done visually. Being able to pin down the dice is a great feature. It would be nice to have an easier and quicker way to add dice. More backgrounds and colored dice would be nice, like glow in the dark dice, metallic gold or silver dice etc..

Always been great dice rolling programme for all gamers, but the latest version includes d2 nicely represented as coins.m.
So great for Serenity, BSG and other Cortex system games. Five stars now.

This is exactly what you want for RPGs...
Awesome app. You cant beat the price either. It handles inputting of dice amounts perfectly, and the rolling is fun. Its only lacking the ability to choose your own background and the available dice skins arent the best, but those are very minor things. Highly, highly recommended.
Excellent and Fun!
I bought this app to roll dice in D&D and various board games, and it works wonderfully. The feature set is very solid, and the ability to have multiple dice configurations that you can flip through easily is very handy. The rolling animations are nice and make this much better than a free dice roller like 'dice bag', which makes rolling in games considerably less exciting in my opinion.
I can suggest a few features, such as a much better ui for inputting dice formulas, and customizable backgrounds, but this app does what it promises and more, and is clearly worth of 5-star review.

One Roll Engine blues :(
I bought this specifically because it is the only dice roller to use the ORE mechanic. I was a bit disappointed therefore that it doesn't use the system of Master Dice and Expert Dice from the Reign ORE rules.
Please, please include the Reign ORE in a future version.
MachDice is still an excellent dice roller though.
The flick-to-roll idea is good, and the simple press-to-hold is very intuitive.
I also like that when you re-roll individual dice they don't knock other dice over.
It is simple to assign different dice to the 5 tables to handle frequently rolled combinations quickly.
Please, please include the Reign ORE in a future version.

Does a great job. Maybe some instructions/help would have helped me get the most out of the app more quickly.
Would like to be able to do things like, roll 4 dice and take the total of the best (highest) 3 rolled.

Great dice app with room for polish...
This is the best polyhedral dice app I've found so far, but it could use a little polish. Here are some ideas...
- setting to set six-sided dice to display numbers or pips (dots)
- setting to change background (maybe using photos on the iPhone?)
- setting to change dice color (textures might be cool too)
- setting to change color of numbers on dice.
- "favorites" (list of user-entered labels associated with rolling formulas)
