Poor upgrade!
Loved this app until I upgraded. I spent several weeks entering the prices for items and these were deleted in the upgrade. The prices used to be in green now they are black and very fifficult to see The barcode scanning is a waste of time. So much quicker to enter manually. I also HATE the way the screen moves to landscape when you accidentally move the phone whilst shopping. If I could undo the upgrade I would.

LOVE IT!!!
This application is sensational!! I have a store map of my grocery store (which I just sent an email and got a copy), so I created all my own items and matched it to the isle number. It took me a little while to set up all my custom items, but it was worth it. I love that now all I have to do is tap on something and it adds to my list - saves writing it on a whiteboard, working out what isle I need to go (every week) then writing it on a paper list. Plus the list is always with me so if I can drop into any store at any time without trying to remember what was on my home list. Also, you can email the list to your significant other to grab anything that's needed. BUY THIS APP!!!!!!!!

Awesome shopping list app - best on the App Store
I've tried every (trial) shopping list app on here, and settled on Foodle/Green Grocer for the last few months - it's been one of my most used apps, and not just for grocery lists.
In terms of customisability and functionality, this app blows all the others away. First thing I did was clear the prepopulated database of the American-centric products - it's very quick and easy to build your own from scratch. The best feature by far is the ability to create lists online in a browser and sync them across multiple iPhones. Sooo nice to quickly add something when on the laptop, and find it synced on the iPhone ready for the shopping expedition! The other features tick all the boxes: flexible list management, sort options, customised aisle/category names... Everything I can think of.
It's a scandal that this app has less than 5 stars. A perfect example of how to do a shopping list app, and I'm pleased to see there are regular updates - looking forward to seeing how the developers continue to innovate. I see there's a "recipes" beta on the web app - this looks like it has potential!

One of my favourite apps!
I don't normally write reviews but I use this app a lot and it's defintely one of my favourites because it lets me know everything that I need to buy and helps to easily sort them into categories for me. I don't like buying apps unless they're really worth it and this one definately is! It works really well side by side with another app that I use to keep track of my budget (Spendometer; also a great paid app).
I just have a quick question about this though that concerns me. Does the new update keep all your data or does it erase it all cos I'm scared of updating to the new 2.0.2 version until I know.

Excellent shopping list application
This was my first app I bought and as I learnt to use it it was getting more and more usefull, I make my shopping list from all the items I usually buy then I start shopping by categories and this app is excellent as it has many ways to sort your items, when most of my shopping is done I switch to completed items do I have just few unchecked to finish my shopping, it is an excellent application no more forgoten lists at home and if one or two items were not available it show the number of items not shopped in the app icon, I do not think there is a better shopping app for the iPhone

Push would make it even better!
Awesome app. I love it and use it all the time. Only problem is there is no unit of measurments which makes it hard to accuratly price meat, but it says it is comming soon, so I an happy. Sync is awesome, but push notification would be perfect, even if it just changed the badge no on the apps icon. I could look at my phone at work and see my wife has added something without having to go in to the app. Then I can get it on the way home and have a happy wife! Please add push!!! I will change my rating to 5 stars when units of measurments and push are added.

Fantastic
I purchased a competing Shopping list creator when I first got my iPhone. It was ok, but having to put together a list on the phone was tedious and I only used it once. The web interface on this is brilliant. It is so easy, I love the fact that I can create my list anywhere, at work or at home. Used it for the first time today and it worked perfectly, changing the price of the items was easy, adding items when I forgot them was great. It works perfectly. But the web interface was by far the best feature of this app. Create your list, it syncs and then all you have to do is tick it off as you go. Highly recommend this app.

Helpful & Clever - only issue is fighting with 2yr old to get iphone back whilst shopping!!
I usually us calendar entries to make up a shopping list so my mac and iphone sync. This app is great and takes away the need to do this. Web version syncing with iphone takes away the need to try to type entries on the iphone. Would LOVE to see typing search functionality (where as you type the possible options appear) in the master list. Currently the master list is clunky and the adding of options has a few glitches, but with more development I hope these bugs will be ironed out. Master List Items with a ' in them don't sync to the iphone. This is fixed by renaming items with illegal characters. Happy to pay the $4 for the app, particularly if it helps with development of a better app.

Great tool for shopping. Easy to add/remove items/categories. Really love bring able to email lists to husband so he can pick up stuff for me.
Grocery Gadget is Fantastic (update)
I got this app recently and think it is excellent. I think the fact you can put photos on, and the ability to put them in the order you shop in, are both brilliant ideas. I have bought some apps that are shopping lists and I think this is the best so far and it is for free. Thanks heaps.
