Great when it works
Nothing more frustrating than using an app for years that all of a sudden no longer syncs. The security certificate has expired. Awesome that they took my money for my annual subscription earlier this month.

Used to be a great app
I’ve been using this app for many years and it was one of my go to apps. It was just wonderful for shopping at the very stores and I regularly shop in. I have hundreds of items on my list. A couple of upgrades ago it decided to add almost every item in all my lists to the local hardware store I had recently added. And if you delete the store you delete everything in its lists, so I can’t delete it. Further I just found out I can’t add stores anymore at all. I can’t believe how far downhill this app has gone in the last couple of years. One star is way too good for this app.
Edit: more than a year later, and nothings fixed. Obviously if they've stopped maintaining this app.

I have loved this app. for a very long time. This is the first time I have had to comment on it. Thanks for the opportunity. I have only one complaint, that is the commercial ads that have recently begun to invade my screen. I especially hate the ones that I am unable to clear off the screen. This is frustrating to deal with ads. I don’t have time to mess with them. If I was interested in those products I would ad them myself. I beg you, if you can’t get rid of them, I may have to look for another app. and quit bragging about you. Please address this.

Best Grocery budgeting app ever
We have been using this app for years. When there are times finances are tight it’s great as it tells your total as you add items to your list from your data base. Also like how we can sync it amongst family members so everyone can ad to the list as they see what is needed
One suggestion
I’ve been using this app for a long time. The paid version. My husband and I are connected so we can both add things and it shows up on each others. The only thing I wish it had was a way to show I have a coupon for an item. Too many times I’ve cleared my list, walked out of the store and then remembered I had coupons! If there was a way to tag an item with a coupon it would be helpful.

The best grocery app by far
I’ve tried pretty much every grocery app. Several things are missing from most of them, like multiple stores and being able to see items I normally get at each store to plan my shopping. This app has it all. I love the checkout feature, which removes purchased items from the current list. The ads in the free version aren’t too obtrusive, but I purchased a subscription after a few days just to support such a great app.

Best option
We’ve used Grocery Gadget for a long time. Every year or so, I look to see if Amy of the other apps have caught up to what they offer. Nope. Just renewed again - with their family share option so now everyone can have it. Recently had a friend go shopping for us - easily emailed them our list. They were so impressed with just that feature, they bought the app themselves. Worth every penny.

Crashing issue resolved but now missing aisle data.
The most recent app update had been causing the app to crash for me each time I attempted to checkout as others had reported. I was able to correct this issue by uninstalling and reinstalling Grocery Gadget. However, we now find that all the aisle information we had entered for our store lists is gone. The category data is there but the aisle listing is missing entirely from the new app version. We can edit the category to item to list the aisles but this means reentering all that information. As we shop by aisle and not category this is most inconvenient. Update - 12/10: Apparently when I uninstalled, reinstalled, and synced the app with the cloud to correct the crash issue my configuration had changed. All the store aisle information we entered is now displayed correctly!

Personalized grocery list
We deleted the original (exhausted) list and have added items as we need the. After a year it’s completely personalized for our family.
