Get ANYLIST instead
EDIT: I just subscribed for one month and I STILL have no way to log in to restore my lists.
EDIT 2: I finally figured out where to find the login (SO not intuitive) but guess what? Invalid group or password DESPITE being able to use those same credentials on the website just fine. I’m SO done. I’ve downloaded ANYLIST instead and it does EVERYTHING this app used to do, for the same price, AND MORE, and the interface is customizable. I’m not usually this vindictive, but I’m SO angry. I’m just grateful I have a much better option.
Original review: I’ve had this app for TEN YEARS and even paid for multiple people in my household to have the ad-free version before it went to subscription. I don’t want to pay for a subscription so I’m willing to put up with the ads. But it now quit working and kept crashing, as everyone else noted lately. So I uninstalled and reinstalled the app. But without a subscription I can’t log in anymore and all my lists are lost.

Great app is now crap
I’ve been using this app for years and loved it. I’ve even recommended it to others. But it started to crash today. I deleted and reinstalled but everything is gone. I guess you lose everything if you weren’t paying a subscription fee.
It’s probably not worth me recreating everything. I’ll probably just use a notepad now.
Sad to see a tool I’ve used and love become worthless because they added location services so they could target ads and charge you a subscription. I guess my original purchase is now worthless.

GROCERY GADGET DID THE RIGHT THING!
I’ve been a Grocery Gadget Pro user since 2010; and let me tell you it has been the best grocery list managing app out there. Once before I had a problem and they addressed it quickly. That was years ago!
This time I had an issue after the cellphone and tablet received an IOS update and would not work. I contacted support for Grocery Gadget and they assigned a case number and responded one day later they contacted me back and addressed the issues.
You can’t get better response time which they provided in that amount of time!

Latest Update Breaks App
Your most recent update has broken the app for me. Any time I add or delete an item on a list the app now crashes. Please fix.
App keeps crashing
I have used this app for 7 years now without incident and have been very happy with it.
However in the past 24 hours I cannot add anything to my lists and kicks me out of the app. I try to change the price and it kicks me out of the app. I have restarted the app and lost all of my info because the app would not allow me to sync. I am hoping a customer service person sees this and can help.

Stopped Working
I have had this app for as long as I’ve had an iPhone. I have spent years adding items and stores. I just loved it. Until yesterday, it has worked flawlessly. But it started crashing. I thought “No big deal”, I restarted my phone to no avail. I erased and reinstalled the app only to find out all of my data was gone. It would then crash when I tried to input any item except stores. Sorry to see it go.

Latest Version 5.7.2 Has Bug
I am a 10-year user of Grocery Gadget. I have found it very useful and rely on it for all of our grocery shopping. It has generally performed well but the latest version has a bug that needs prompt attention. The bug prevents using “Checkout” followed by “Done Shopping” to zero the quantities and clear the latest shopping list. Instead, those commands cause the app to crash and the list has not been cleared when rebooting the app.
Help - app is of little help with this bug.

Lost account
Many years ago I “purchased”, yes, yes purchased not subscribe but now that I want to reinstall Grocery Gadget it on my new tablet it is impossible. My account does not exist anymore. I cannot restore it. There is no place where I can type the email used for this app and when I tried to communicate through Help I need an account, and it does no exist!

Poor Quality
Been using this app for a long time and whilst I would have recommended in the past then with the adding back in of adverts after I purchased the pro version because of the new subscription model then big nope from me. More recently I’ve had my whole DB corrupted and lost, had to restart and now I’ve got more DB issues where app will crash when I add some things to a list, some hidden lists.
