Very nice

You need to know a bit about network configuration but its perfect. Please update it so it can fit the new displays for the iPhone 5 etc.

Exceeds High Expectations

This is brilliant! Works wonderfully with Logic Pro, with great bidirectional MIDI controls. Well worth it's (relatively) small price.

Set up was quite a hassle though... installing the desktop counter-part along with a couple of different drivers... one of the methods requires X11. But, I got there in the end... (and I'm only fourteen), so it would be no preblem for a real, err.. professional music person who knows all about MIDI and is a whizz with IP adresses and stuff.

I highly recommend it, although I also recommend visiting the site (hexler.net) and doing on the whole thing BEFORE purchace...

Brilliant

The configuration screens of this app are pretty awful. But once you get past them it does its job so well I have to give it 5 stars. Responsive, smooth, simple, and gloriously useful. Tablet computers were born for this kind of thing. Some flexible generic layouts would be nice on iPad to compliment the app specific ones.

I love it

What a fantastic app. Easy to use and performs solidly. Ive mostly been using it in conjunction with unity to control 3d game characters for a performance but I can see already how it's going to. Become a core part of how I run projection shows from now on.
The range of layouts is great for most uses but better still is the fact that you can design your own and easily transfer them to the app (whilst it is is still running and in control of another program).

One thing that would be a terrific addition would be some kind of input device that let you input 3 values with a single finger (like a trackball) ...maybe something like a rotary combined with an xyFAder. My fingers are too fat for the multi slider and dragging 3faders at once doesn't feel as intuitive as something like a trackball. I can't personally imagine how this might be done but you seem like pretty clever folk.

Just what I was looking for

I've looked at several iPad tools that I could use to control Logic Pro on my Macbook Pro. This one is the ticket! It does exactly what I was looking to do and more. I have complete freedom to use any instrument in my studio now with full remote control over record and playback. No more pressing start and running across the room in time for my queue to start playing. One added benefit is that I can walk around the studio and listen to my mix, and edit it using different position perspective as opposed being positioned only in one spot. Can't beat the price!! BTW, I was worried at first after reading that the setup was a bear but it took me less than a minute to set it up and probably no more than 3-4 taps on the iPad and one selection on my Mac.

Great

Purchased and up and running controlling elements of reason 6.5 in an hour or so. There is some learning to do and luckily most of it is common sense because the documentation is a little limited for someone such as myself who is new to midi controllers. The developer website contains the template designer and midi bridge software (windows/mac). The windows software are both excellent and the method of exporting templates to iPad is superb. Very impressive and hassle free which is lucky as unless you know your stuff there will be lots of testing out and fiddling until it is completely to your needs!

Mentions on below reviews about no time or battery indicator - this appears to have been resolved and both are available in the designer.

Feel the Power....

This is a brilliant App. Seriously. Started using it about a year ago to make a set of touch faders for Reason and soon realised that the possibilities for creating and designing your own interfaces using iPhone/iPad are pretty much limitless. I won't be spending any more money on 'specialized' controllers like the APC again. I think that for this price, apart from Liine's Lemur which is much more expensive, there isn't any competition! And when used in conjunction with something like OSCulator, there are some AMAZING things you can do with any DAW/Synth, even VJ software...

Stable, responsive and intuitive. If it doesn't work, you're probably doing something wrong...

Amazing

Absolutely brilliant. Don't think twice, just get it!

Great for other MIDI control things as well

I got this app on a recommendation and I cannot be any happier. The layout builder makes this app insanely customizable while still being relatively easy to pick up. With the addition of a small freeware program from the developers website. This can be used to control ANY MIDI controlled software. Including what I use it for, stage lighting.

I was in the market for a cheap DMX control solution for my high school. Q Light Controller plus this app and the MIDI Bridge means I can wirelessly control the lights from virtually anywhere on campus! It also makes programming the desk much more intuitive and who doesn't like playing with their iPad. It can also be used to control QLab for those on a Mac. All in all a great piece of software. Cheap, easy to use and very powerful.

Korji Liddicut says you are awesome

Amazing app. It really was hard to set it up at first but once you got it set up it works great! It is really good that you can create your own layouts!!! Really good for programs like Traktor(which I bought it for). Really good
Get it. Just get it.
