Lots of scam jobs appearing they need more vetting and better security in place

I really like using Linkedln as a social media platform as it’s got some pretty useful and interesting features to use but when it comes to actually using as a job site it’s pretty awful. I have noticed as of lately a heavy increase in the amount of fake jobs being created on the platform by people wishing to exploit people into human trafficking or work exploitation and it’s not good. Linkedln really need to vet all the people that use the platform to create new jobs on there and also have better security and policies in place to prevent such things happening moving forwards so it’s not good that they’re not doing enough to stop this happening at the moment.

Absolutely Incredible

There’s this company called TravisMathew, they steal personal information from non customers and then email them relentlessly even after blocking and reporting.

Thanks to LinkedIn I’m able to put these criminals down until the FTC or FBI finally steps in. Anyways fantastic app, I love putting down criminals who think they’re safe. My only complaint is that you (LinkedIn) think my comments are unwarranted even after asking this “professional LLC” to stop numerous times in numerous ways. Yall should take your security more seriously or else companies like TravisMathew will continue to prey on your user base

For anyone else who wants to put them down —> TravisMathew. Look them up and tear them down! They’re violating EVERY privacy law and their HQ is in California… they earned and deserved their burning also don’t worry I already reported them to FTC and FBI… they’re not pleased with these scum bags either. Anyways great app, I love hunting these companies

Linked is not opening my account

So hear me out. I am facing this particular issue and am not able to login in my own account. I haven't posted anything that will violate anything. I rarely post anything. I don't get jobs in here and now am not able to login in my account. I did all the security check that it required starting with Are you human captcha and then with pesona i scanned the QR with my phone and then my own face and also scanned my passport for the check. After all this process, I am trying to contact linkedin which has not been possible BECAUSE FOR THAT I NEED MY ACCOUNT LOGGED IN. They dont have any customer care no. Where I can call. I can't reply back to the mail from which I got the mail. Now WHAT SHOULD I DO? I need to put my LinkedIn account on CV but they have removed my account from linkedin because the link is not gwtting opened. Do something and solve this problem.

Very poor unsubscribe exp

I have other apps where I’ve subscribed to their service on the web and the app has a web portal that makes it easy to unsubscribe in the app. This does not go against apple’s policy: “Apple has restrictions on account management via the app.” is complete bogus. Your engineers can tell you, this is a fixable problem. I am an iOS engineer, I can promise you that we provide users an easy web portal to unsubscribe even if they signed up via web/desktop.

You guys force me to go and find a desktop to unsubscribe from. This is unacceptable.

Up the standard, and don’t make it hard to unsubscribe.

Photos and Videos in Portrait

Some idiot in the software design department decided that all photos and videos you click on play in portrait mode. So when I am my IPAD I have to physically turn it side on to watch the video. Then some idiot in management agreed to it. Come on, my eyes are in my head in landscape mode. That is how I want to view my videos on linkedin without having to pick up my IPad and physically turn on it on its side. At least make it an option rather than a default you cant change.

Indispensable but mobile app tough on battery

Has become required to connect to hiring managers for work in most fields bar design / creative where Insta still rules, and x-twitter for media.
-Use it on the desktop: the mobile app is brutal on your battery.
-Use other apps to find jobs - job search categories and locations are poor vs competition.

No way to view interactions with my posts

I no longer receive updates about my own posts and viewing activity on my post shows that I have no post to show, even though I post regularly every week. In order to see my posts and the action on them, I have to actually go into my profile down to posts and view the post that I’ve put out or view them in featured posts (if I have pinned them there).

The notifications area does not tell me when there’s activity (likes or comments) on my posts. This has been going on for a long time and I’ve reset and set settings as per discussion with Customer Service, but I know I’m not the only one who has this issue. I’ve spoken to lots of people with the same issue. This needs to be fixed as it hampers the ability to get back to people in good time without consistently having to open the app to see what is going on.

Very Prosocial and Empowering

The laugh react can be abused as a cheap way of undermining a person’s sincere post. But apart from that, I find no shortcomings with LinkedIn. Very good business model and inclusive. The innovator entrepreneurs and workers of and from LinkedIn should be very proud, in my opinion. Very positive impact on our world! Re censoring, it would be good if specific offending posts are censored with elaborate reasons and internal avenue for appeals mechanisms, not blanket bans of an offending person’s entire account. Cheers and with Sincerity, Henry Willoughby

Unhelpful and Clogging My Email Inbox

I have been job hunting for the better part of a year and a half now and have been using LinkedIn to find potential matches. For much of that time I even paid for LinkedIn Premium to try and get a even just a little more of a leg up over other candidates. Despite several well polished applications and countless rewrites for cover letters and resumes, this whole time I have been using LinkedIn I haven’t even had so much as a second look from any of my bids - I’d be lucky frankly to even get a NLIC message. In fact, the vast majority messages I ever received in my LinkedIn inbox were from the app’s sponsors.

Using LinkedIn has left me feeling swindled out of what little money I have to spare and taken advantage of. All that I’ve gained from this service is a flooded email inbox with openings that don’t truly match my skill sets and some “insights” on my profile that don’t give me any tangible direction. This experience has convinced me that LinkedIn is a merely glorified social media site masquerading as a job board to prey on people who are honestly just trying to improve their own lives. - Grant

Everything’s fine. [dumpster flames]

Millions of jobs and millions of people complaining about not being able to find a job. I believe LinkedIn’s resources could be used more strategically than acting as a glorified job board. Connect people for god’s sake! Recruiters are apparently inundated. Job seekers can’t get a break. And LinkedIn keeps hitting you up for a subscription that has never amounted to anything for me. The jobs are often out-of-date revealing how few standards or protocols there are for employers to act ethically or accountably. I’ve been spammed a few times also through LinkedIn and previous coworkers looking for jobs have also been lured in by phishing schemes. At this point, it’s just unregulated like Meta, an orgy of recruiters just trying to self-promote or take potshots at the demoralized and underemployed with trash like, “10 Totally Normal, Everyday Words That You Should Never Say If You Ever Want a Job Again.” Meanwhile, the former POTUS running again for arguably the most powerful position on earth, with half the county backing him, can’t utter one full, coherent sentence.
