Great App
this is by far the best metronome app i've downloaded, and it's well worth the $10. i own a 1st gen iPod Touch and the app works just fine. only complaint i have is that i wish the tap button was a bit bigger, but it's an awesome application nonetheless.
Excellent Metronome--looking forward to continual updates
I am a professional musician and teacher and I really like this metronome for personal practice sessions. One wish at the moment: I was hoping to save my metronome settings along with the tempos, but I can't do this. For example, if I am working on an articulation exercise and I am daily trying to increase the metronome time, it would be great to be able to recall my settings including the tempo. At the end of the exercise, I would love to be able to save and either replace the current saved recall or call it something else. I will continue to use this and I'm looking forward to gradual improvements to an already outstanding application. Best Wishes!

Love using it in a classroom!
I'm a band director/percussionist & love using this in a classroom. It's consistent and accurate w/ lots of extras. Volume is loud enough but would love to see an update where the volume is slightly louder. But I can still plug it into my sound system for amplification.
I will still use a Dr. Beat for drumline & more complicated poly-rhythms but you can't beat $10 as compared to a $150 Dr. Beat. Very close to the quality of a Dr. Beat though!

Great design but...
Like the Dr Beat, this app is full featured with the ability to create intricate patterns for almost every conceivable compound meter. Additionally there is the ability to choose from a few sounds and a kind of swing time generator.
The 'but' for me is a biggie - it just doesn't keep consistent time. I perform as a rhythm section pro - recording regularly with click tracks - and so am very sensitive to slight fluctuations. I was excited to read the reviews and got the app to prepare for a session. One of the charts has an intricate 9/8 Cuban groove and at mm 152 the 3 division of each pulse rushes about every 3rd bar. I have had to go back to Dr Beat for this project and am disappointed given the promise that the app holds. It is more stable than the other ones out there for basic use, but until the groove is rock solid at every tempo and every subdivision - it just isn't ready for prime time.

Great App!
This is a fantastic app. I would highly recommend to all interested in a quality metronome with easily adjustable functions and subdivisions. A similarly functioning physical metronome costs $70 or more; not to mention the large size of the Dr. Beat. Having this kind of functionality in my pocket is wonderful!

Dr. What What
I'm so glad I've been waiting for a good metronome. This one rocks. There are also different sounds to choose from. Only improvements I would suggest would be easier to push buttons and more of a visual indication of the downbeat. Maybe the "display" can pulsate. Also the name is wierd. Anyway, that's all I can say about this app without using overtly sexual language.

Totally worth it!!
I am a band director and am so thankful that someone has finally come out with a full function metronome. I would have to say that a metronome like this is nothing that you can buy in the store for $10. This is just as good as my Dr. Beat that I spent over $70 on.
Great Functions:
-Volume Control
-Sliders for Quarters, Eighths, Sixteenths, and Triplets.
-Half time (Dr. Beat does not have)
-A save function for different beat styles
-Great swing function
-A countdown timer (so you can set it and forget it)
-A tap function
The only thing I would like to see is the top half on one screen and the bottom half on a second screen controlled by a finger swipe. That way the buttons can be easier to hit. Otherwise totally a great buy!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
