  • Good for old iPads!

This was literally the only text editor I could use on my very old iPad - I needed to get started on my research progress report while waiting for my laptop to be repaired and it means I can use the doc either for Word or LaTex to polish it up.
  • it’s Excellent!

I have been using for about 30 minutes and it’s worked as advertised and I’m very happy there aren’t any in-app purchases or subscriptions. Thank you!
  • Good alternative to MS Word

The free version offers integration with text, Dropbox (and other cloud file systems), and email. Nice rich text editing features: font selection (including colours and attributes), paragraph options and more, but no sharing via WhatsApp. Overall, pretty sweet for free though have yet to figure out how to send saved .rtf docs as attachments.

  • Lost input

You have one job: make inputting text easy (done!) and autosave faithfully, so the user doesn’t have to think about saving (NOT done). I loaded this app months ago and forgot that the reason I stopped using it was that it lost something I wrote when I navigated away from or closed the app. Just now months later I gave it another try and the same thing happened. Booo!

  • Bit of a waste of time trying to figure this out

If I can’t save to PDF (it does provide a ‘save as’ option, but there’s nothing but ‘save’ as an option once you click on it.) its of no real use to me.
Pity. And it’s a bit of a non-intuitive bear. No tab stops, can’t even fake an indent with the space bar. I eventually figured out that if I copied what I imported and opened the copy as a new doc, I could type on it, but it took me a long time to figure that out.
I tried sharing my tweaked document to my email to see what it looked like. A disappointing mess.

  • Love text edit.!

I love text edit. It is so easy to navigate. I bought a knew desktop Mac recently and was so happy to see that I could still use this app! I will continue to use it for all my writings! It’s the best!
  • Easy to use

This text editor was great for my needs as I use it to record my notes from my portuguese class, and I had struggled to find something in which I could use tabs.
I would, however, like to then turn the document into a pad, so that I have an ongoing record from which I can easily search for words. Is this possible?

  • disappointing

looks like they don't let you highlight words without a subscription so all these word processors have you over a barrell

when I highlight one word, it creates a red rectangle that's so dark it blots out the whole word instead of highlighting it......

I sure expect more. I think it's their way of forcing you to purchase

  • Just works so well!

So many of these editors try to do too much yet... they live on an iPhone but refuse to use iCloud drive... what’s that about!?! Well I don’t care as this app does do iCloud drive and does it well! Simple interface great for a small iPhone with limited screen space to begin with... Very happy here!!!

  • Love it

Unfortunately my ipad is too old for Microsoft word so this was the next best thing. Simple and easy to use and does just what I need!
