  • A Real Comic Reader!

This app allows me to keep a collection of my cbz comic files with me and viewable. To transfer the files I just enable Web sharing on my Mac, put the files in the right directory and then download them.

Suggestions: add cbr support, provide instructions for enabling Web sharing on a Mac/PC (with directory listing), allow download of all files in a directory, and show thumbnails of first pages of the library of dowloaded files.

This app deserves more attention since it's the only real comic reader I've seen!

  • Needs work

I bought this recently as there are only a couple of apps for the iPod/iPhone that let you read comics in CBR/CBZ format. I was excited to try this but was soon dissapointed. The app has a lot of potential but needs work. The worst thing is getting the comics on the application. You need to set up a web server to do this. I used Apache. You also need to type in each comic individually on the iPod to get it transfered. Some sort of click and drag import is really needed. Once a comic is loaded, the response time is slow zooming in and panning around the page. It's just sluggish. Hope to see an updated version soon. The one I bought was v1.1. I'll use ComicZeal for now.

  • Great start, please add features

Running 1.1 and it's a very nice application. Viewing of zipped comic books with JPG or PNG files is great. Speed on larger JPGs is quite slow, but livable. Getting the comic files onto the device isn't very easy, as it requires you download them from a URL. Therefore you must add the books to a local webserver installed on your PC. Please add features such as rotation. I'd like to see the comics on the side (wider) and scroll down, then having to scroll side to side. As well it would be nice to have a way to organize the books into folders. Otherwise a great app, keep up the good work!

  • Cannot open local files

I have not yet reviewed this app although I have purchased it, it really needs the ability to open local files on the iphone/ipod touch.
  • Great comic reader!

So far this is the best comic reader I have found. The only reason I didn't give it 5 stars is the rather steep curve for getting zip files into the program and it's lack of support for cbr/cbz files. Otherwise, this is a must have!
  • Don't bother

Unless you know all about local servers. Just unZip manually and use iPod viewer
