Awesome app
This app is so wonderful. There have been many days that I don't have time to open my bible and find the encouragement that I need... But I can click on this app and go directly to what I'm feeling. It has every situation and emotion you could possibly need... and it gives the best verses that relate to those particular feelings! It also allows you to post to Facebook and email verses... So you can encourage others at any time in the day!! A nice idea poorly executed
I've only used this a bit over the last couple months, but have been disappointed by it.
Lots of the verses look as though they have been selected from a concordance without any consideration of whether they make sense out of context. E.g., today's verse of the day is Proverbs 1:28 -- a real encouragement I don't think! It's a verse that only makes sense in context. Another time the verse started/finished in the middle of a sentence and made no sense at all.
Please apply some editorial control over the selection of verses so that users can hear God's word properly.Show lessKent77

I would really recommend this app, I love the fact that u can store favourite scriptures and even add your own for all the categories. This app has ministered to me greatly. I've been able to see parts of the bible I've missed or just not seen. Not forgetting that it provides emergency comfort/answers for the time when u really need it. Purely beyond awesome, can't thank you enough. Hope next updates will have more topics being added relevant to today's society, ...don't get me wrong it allready does, but needs a huge selection , there's still a lot out there. It would be also good to see it have options as font change / size, maybe audio option, note post, alarm reminder for certain days , maybe written in other languages. Bible Promises is helpful & beautiful. The share feature is so easy to use; I enjoy sharing verses with my children & FaceBook friends. In addition, the catagories are well choosen & it offers the ability to suggest new catagories. I emailed support suggesting a serch option & received a response the same day! (They said 'search' should be in the next update.). The only other option I would like to see added is a 'suggest a verse'. All-in-all this is a terrific app!!Show lessGJWhitener
One of my favorite iPhone apps.
This has really become one of my favorite and most used applications for my iPhone. My family and friends really enjoy when I share a verse with them. I love that verses are listed according to categories/topics. That way, you can always find what you need at that exact moment. If your friend is griefing the loss of a parent, job, marriage, pet....you can easily go to the "Grief" category and find something uplifting to send them as a reminder of God's love and caring. Because God's word never returns void, I really feel good about spending time with the application. It's great for my own needs and for the needs of those I know and love. And, the Bible Promises folks always acknowledge any feedback I give them about new scriptures to add or suggestions for new categories.
