  • Terrible

This app is so bad, I’ve tried to have patience but it’s just an incredibly frustrating user experience. I’ve always used the Realtor app and my main pet peeve is that you can’t access street view via a listing on the mobile app. Zillow has this! I also love the lists of recommended properties that Zillow compiles—I see things I’d never find in my normal searches. HOWEVER—the Zillow app abruptly shuts down on me in the middle of viewing lists almost every time I use the app. I always make sure I have the latest IOS running and make sure to update my Zillow app when there are updates available. No use! The shutting down thing persists, I lose my place in the search, and it’s so discouraging. There’s always some issue- today it’s that I can’t see a quarter of the screen—for some reason the app is zoomed in? Literally can’t see the first 2-3 numbers of a property address, can’t read details, etc. This isn’t a browser where I can zoom out—it’s just a garbage app. I tried closing and reopening, checking for updates, and confirming nothing was changed on my phones settings to alter the display. Nope, just Zillow doing what it does! The realtor app doesn’t have street view but it’s 10 times better than this app. Do better!

We’d like to dig deeper – mind emailing appstorehelp@zillow.com so we can investigate?
  • Good but laggy

There are several convenient features in this app like easily looking through the pictures of a listing and being able hide it without having to open it full-screen, being able to horizontally scroll through listing while also viewing the map, sorting the list of recommended houses by year built, 10+ helpful filters, and drawing preferred location.

The biggest downside is that loading images of listings can be slow, and if I attempt to scroll through the listing before the images load (to look at its map location listed among the images, for example), the app crashes. This has been happening for the past several weeks.

Would like a way to make a list of saved searches, instead of only getting email updates from them. The shopping partner feature is nice but, I can't tell which ones I've saved and which ones they've saved. It'd be nice to be able to make custom lists. The button to hide a listing could be shown outside of the 3 dot menu, when a listing is displayed as a card (instead of full screen). More filter options would be nice too.
  • App is not “better”. Quit telling me to use it.

I do not have trouble with inaccurate information on Zillow as others have stated in their reviews. This is really based more on the way that the data is generated, collected, and distributed, and is somewhat inevitable. My problem is that I am constantly being asked to use the app instead of my browser because it is “better”. It is not necessarily better in my opinion. Based on information shown on the app, we contacted our realtor and told them to schedule a viewing and begin putting an offer together incase the property was as we were expecting… great house at a great price, had to move fast. Our realtor went about spending his valuable time doing as we had requested. Later when excitedly viewing the listing in my browser, my wife noticed that it was a cash only listing. Sorry, I do not have $240k burning a hole in my pocket. The problem is the fact that Zillow had the data to report that it was a cash only transaction, but failed to mention it in the app, only the browser. I was embarrassed to have to tell my realtor who had spent some time on this that we were no longer interested based on what we had found on Zillow (browser) but not found on Zillow (app). Either make the app to reflect what is in the browser, or quit telling me that “it is better in the app”. Great app otherwise.
  • Out of date and ridiculous “Zestimates”

Almost February and tax assessor valuations have been posted on county websites since August 2023, yet Zillow is almost 6 months behind and still hasn’t updated. Since they use an algorithm that needs the valuation, you’d think they’d be able to realtime to the assessor sites for updates or at least check them monthly for current info. As a result, in another year of valuation increases, Zillow is dragging way behind. Additionally, Zillow doesn’t factor in any interior remodeling and so homes that have been one owner for 20 years and in states where the tax assessor doesn’t actually tax at full valuation, the homes get way undervalued on Zestimates. Zillow likes to pretend that buyers don’t look at that, but try selling your house at its real value with a ridiculously low Zestimate and see how many people come out and low ball you and argue with you that your price is too high because of the low Zestimates! It also forces you to get a realtor to have any hope of a temporary modification to Zestimate while on the market, because as a For Sale By Owner, Zillow won’t budge on updating a bad Zestimate. Zillow could easily help out its users by allowing property owners the ability to turn on or off the display of the Zestimate, but they refuse to allow that. So for those of you selling a home you’ve lived in for 20 or more years, good luck to you.
  • Zillow does not provide accurate content

It’s pretty disappointing to search Hard tofor a home with a Pool and have to go through tons of homes with NO POOL. Or search for Homes and condos are listed or rentals listed under “For Sell” they don’t listen to feedback or update to keep it up to date. I sold a piece of property and that was just as a big of a disappointment as searching for one. My property didn’t show on map accurately and no one helped to fix it. The realtor said it’s always like that one Zillow. Pop ups that pop up make you accidentally click the wrong button giving a bad review for a good Agent and yet no one fixes or cares. I can’t wait til I find something that takes more pride in supplying information. How about new updates like swipe off page if you want to hide never see again. If I don’t like it I don’t want to have to sift through it again and again. Disappointed in Zillow. They do not approve or proof check anything! Now gotta resign in every time to save homes, annoying app!

Update they made my review in white fonts so no one could read it LOL and update they changed zillow app again making it even more user unfriendly.

Get real advice from people who actually use your app to make it better. Now the map and list features are gone when searching ugh
  • Property Management Integrity?

The Zillow app is incredibly convenient.
‘Some of the Property Management Companies’ may lack integrity, for some it appears to me that rental applications are an important source of income.

    1) We applied for a rental property. On the morning of the applications deadline the app still showed only one applicant. Our credentials far exceeded the requirements so we were very excited and began mentally preparing to move. Then the letter came… “Thank you for your application. We are sorry to inform you that we have chosen another applicant.” I asked if there is any particular information on my application that was a deciding factor to choose another. The reply was….. “Honestly, the place was rented before your application even came in, so I never even read your application.” I opened the Zillow app immediately. The listing was still up and still showed 1
application submitted. $80 for two application fees wasted

    2) Similar story. “We chose another applicant before we got to your application.” another $80 for two application fees wasted

I’m starting to wonder if income is the real reason they require both husband and wife to submit applications.

    * I suggest that you set up a tour before applying, especially if the Management company does not accept the Zillow pre-qualify rental application. Get to know the Property Management Company and it’s representatives. Ask if they have friends or family looking for a rental property.
  • Hat that there is not a choice to exit when you ask for a review.

My review is that when you asked me to write a review the choices are write a review or the word OK. Either one takes me to a place that I don’t really want to go to because there’s no choice of exiting out. This is the one thing that I really don’t like about Zillow I’ve given you five stars if I had something more to say I would say it I don’t like having to be forced into going to this area to say something just so that makes you guys happy. please change it to where there is an option to exit out after you’ve given your star rating. Otherwise it just becomes a new since I’ve been on Zillow for years I look at Zillow all the time because I’m a real estate investor and I don’t necessarily need to redo a review but on your drop-down it forces me to so here’s your review. It’s terrible this drop down to give a review I don’t like it it’s a pain
  • They stole my money!

I applied for a house and they didn’t even do a full application they denied me less the a house after applying, yet never contacted my boss at work my apartments to verify rental history. Yet I paid for a full application! Yet the flash checked my credit (I have great credit) so I was furious about putting a mark on my credit and they didn’t even do a full application! Then I call and the blamed my denial on same “rental score” ONLY ZILLOW DOES! I called multiple realtors and they all said they NEVER heard of that type of “rental score” and that’s definitely Zillow scamming people because that’s not what actual rentals base approvals or denials on! Not to mention the lady who helped me on WHO WORKS FOR ZILLOW couldn’t even tell me when that score meant! She kept interpreting every time I asked what that score was! I told her to give me a definition of the score and she said “idk” I told her to give me her manager who could explain and she REFUSED to give the manger or tell me what that score meant! They stole from me and there was no way they did a full application because I applied on a Sunday night and was denied by 3 am!!! How’s that even possible that someone looked at it and got a hold of every one on my end? That’s right they didn’t! DONT EVER ISE THIS SITE! I’m out $100 because of this scam!
  • Our Realtor ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Plus!!

We were moving from Minnesota to Texas and so we started looking at homes available in our price range in Texas on Zillow. We lucked out on a couple of different homes we kept seeing on the website ( they were selling so quickly) But we did not luck out on the Realtor we happen to connect with thru Zillow! Remember this name “Linda Warnock;”she patiently and consistently work with us and for us like no other realtor we have ever had in the past! She goes/ went far and beyond expectations in making sure our needs were met. We would and will recommend her every opportunity possible. I promise you will not ever be disappointed with herThorough diligence in satisfying you when it comes to buying a new home for yourself no matter where you might live. We bought our home in Texas while still living in Minnesota thanks to her professional help and team. Thank you dearly for sticking with us every step of the way and beyond!
    Appreciate you so much Linda!

  • Great app for finding listings one giant problem

So zillow charges a fee of 29 dollars for a one time hard credit check, what they don’t tell you is even once you apply for this credit check people who still list apartments or homes on here (charge there own fee for a credit check) and it’s non refundable. On top of that almost every listed household or apartment facility has a third party application process where there’s literally absolutely no point in paying for the so called hard “credit check” or going through the. Ollie application process, I spent a few times paying for the credit check and got absolutely no where no one on this app wanted my accounts credit check they wanted there own, which I find extremely sketchy. My family and I and still haven’t found anything because no body takes down there listings so it makes it hard to find anything its time consuming process because no one reaches out to us at all, I wouldn’t suggest to waste your money here just look at the listings and call either the apartment facilities or the realtors there’s no point in spending your hard earned money here to me this is a loophole scam.
