  • Need images and audio

Had I known that images and audio isn't supported on the iPod touch I wouldn't have dished out the 15 bucks for the desktop version. My main reason for getting it was that I wanted to use it on my touch to study anatomy structures. I'm really disappointed. My anatomy final is in 10 days and i spent a tin of time making the cards on my Mac only to discover that it doesnt sync with the touch. I see that you said the images and audio sync will be in future updates, but how soon is that going to happen? I need it ASAP. I've supported you're work monetarily and hope that you make good on your promise soon. As soon as you do you'll get 5 stars from me, but until then this app is of little use to me. Hurry...please. It's been over a year since the last update.
  • Underpowered app

This is a much scaled down version of the desktop companion. It apparently does not do images, plus you can't decide how you want it to handle the memorized cards like you can with the desktop. On the desktop, i can have it have a score tally or an time interval tally so that memorized cards won't show up as frequently as un-memorized cards, but will still show up on occasion to keep your memory refreshed. That's a crucial need.

I sure hope the developer is okay and well. Perhaps something has come up, since he hasn't updated for so long.
  • Great App!!!!

Thanks to iFlash, I'm making significant progresses in my GRE vocabulary. I can study everywhere and everytime. Moreover, this app functions more efficiently than any other flashcard apps, because it shuffles the words and gives me quick access to both sides (word & meaning). The best part is that I can click "know" at the cards I remember already, so that gradually I'm left with only more difficult words (unknown cards). I have learned more than 200 words in a week.

Some people complain that they can't directly make cards on this app - I think it's nonsense to do such thing, since it's very time-consuming (typing on your PC is wayyyyy faster). And so far I haven't had any technical problems, so I definitely vote this app 5 starsssss!!!!!
  • This application is not actively updated

I have been using the desktop application for several years now and it is in my opinion still the best flashcard application on the Mac.

The problem is that this touch version lacks most of the features that make the desktop version so great. The developer has mentioned that he will add features at a later date that are missing from the touch version and then goes months without providing any information to the user community and the application and the updates never come. I am giving this application 1 star for poor maintenance for both the touch and desktop version. I will change my rating when the developer adds the missing features he promised about a year ago.
  • Dying on the vine

When it first came out, granted some slack with its lack of features, but now seven months on and still no audio, no pictures: basically no change whatsoever--it's become quite frustrating. Not mush change in the desktop app for years either. Granted the developer is a student, and this is a free add on to the fabulous desktop app. But us iFlash users have been waiting for some time for a full functioning iPhone/iPod version and it appears there is no calender for if, much less when, it might ever happen. Anyone know where we can get an app that can do foreign languages along with audio? At this point I will forgo the iFlash elegance just to get mobile functionality many of us are craving.
  • Most expensive flash card app. Not worth it.

I wish I had tried a few more things with the app before buying the desktop version. I believe the developer is just 1 guy who probably has a day job and doesn't have time to fix his buggy app or add the add the missing features. If you are getting this for use on primarily an iPhone or iPod touch, be warned. The features that exist on the desktop version DO NOT exist in this app. And further, the iPhone app has lots of bugs that have been unresolved for months. In my case, they reneder the app useless on my iPhone. I think the developer has made few bucks on this and has moved on. Save your $15 and get MentalCase or some other app with a dev team that is awake and active. Nice duck from apple's 30% fee though, make an app that requires you to buy another app outside if apple's control.
  • Nicely done, simple app

iFlash Touch syncs seamlessly with the desktop version of the product. Slides run well on my iPod Touch. Even if you don't have a wireless network you can sync your devices by setting up a wireless computer-to-computer network via your Airport menu. I can only give the app four stars since it requires you to edit (or make) slides on your computer, rather than being able to do them on your iPod/iPhone. Otherwise, the app works well and is reliable. Strongly recommended for users of Loopware's iFlash.
  • Great app but...

This app is great. Not too many bells and whistles. I use it all the time for school on my computer. I wish the phone app could match up to what the computer app does. You don't get the color and the images don't show up on the phone. This is a total bummer since I'm a Biology Major and could be extremely helpful. I'm constatly needing to learn imaged flash cards and can't use my phone for that. I think the computer version is 5 star but the phone complement version is lacking.
  • Don't get this yet.

Not perfected yet- in fact it crashes heavily! You cannot even browse through cards without the app crashing!!! Also there us no image support for iPhone, so you cannot incorporate images to your cards!!!
Finally This app is not free you must purchase a $15 program for your computer to use this. It's definitely not worth it right now unless the developer provides an update which they haven't. They have only released one update since its release.
  • Great study tool....please add downward scrolling!

Perfect study tool. Easy and fast to make, and transferring to the iphone or ipod is invaluable! My only problem is that you cannot scroll down on the back of the cards. If the words exceed a certain length, there is no way to see what else is written. Please add downward scrolling and you will have a perfect product!
