Hello, the download of the free companion app for your desktop is required to complete the process of downloading the messages. But you have to purchase the app to use it properly.Brilliant does exactly what I needed
Downloaded the app no problem.
Then the pc software again simple download.
Ran the software as instructed but it could not find my app purchase to fully unlock.
Contacted the support link and within minutes got a response.
Problem was I run I-tunes on a NAS drive, not where the pc app was running.
Help desk sorted that out and within minutes I had it up and running and the info I needed, (all texts to and from a particular contact from 2010 to now in HTML)

I purchased this app through the iPhone. The app advertises itself that you can export texts through your phone, but this is not true, you have to download software to your computer as well and sync your phone with it. You should just be able to export the file via pdf from your phone and email it to yourself, but it doesn't let you do that. Very dissappointing. I will return.Show lessDaasaave
Exactly as claimed
Not much more to say - lets you export text messages, even those no longer visible on your phone.
One caveat- your backup must not be encrypted. If you're really security conscious, you can go back to encrypted backups afterwards and erase the unencrypted one.Uul - really
