Great App
This is a great app. Very easy to use and great when traveling. The dictionary is comprehensive and the interface is fast and bug free. I used it extensively traveling Paris as a tourist and think it would be a great educational tool for a student. The verb conjugations are very useful for a traveler and learner. It also pronounces the words which is an awesome addition for any beginner.Show lessjalero007
Excellent resource
I've been using this for a couple of years and I've found almost every word that I've looked for. There's an occasional word that I can't find but since this app makes no claim to being unabridged, I can't deduct any points.

Disappointing app
I read a fair amount of French. I bought this app in order to look up words that appear, for example, in journalistic writing. Unfortunately, I often cannot find a word that appears to be commonly used in written French. When this happens, I go on line to look for the meaning and almost always find it. Perhaps I would be happier with this dictionary if my French were at a more elementary level. It does a nice job, for example, with the various conjugations of verbs. For others, I would suggest they look elsewhere for a better French-English dictionary app.Show lessMy Little Student
Best dictionary apps
The french dictionary is phenomenal, and I have since converted to using Ascendo dictionaries for all modern languages. Any word not included is easily found by tapping the web icon in the search field, which will pull the definition from reverso or another online dictionary. Fast, very organized, and comprehensive. Unprecedented Thoroughness
This app is phenomenal! I'm a 3-year French student, and my end game is mastery, because I plan to live in France. This app is more thorough and informative than any I've used before!
It provides multiple defenitions for every word, everyday phrases, conjugation, pronounciation, English/French search capabilities, and noun gender specification... all wrapped up in beautiful formatting. What more could one ask for? :)

Fantastic - very valuable - one suggestion
This is/was some of the best $10 I ever spent. Kudos to these people. I own three of these in different languages and consider it a terrific resource.
One thing they should improve. The quiz part is terrible. Words that nobody would use and way too many words that are the same (cognates) and don't really belong in a quiz. A list of practical words would be better. Plus when a word is a noun or verb and only one option is obviously a noun or verb that makes it kind of silly too. However, that is a small part of the app. The dictionary and conjugation functions are terrific. It would be great if there were some sort of clue on the conjugations to help understand what the verb conjugations categories relate to in English. Those various conjugation names aren't familiar to most people. Just a small suggestion there.Show lessdroller44
The best French dictionary bar none!
I researched my hiney off trying to find the best all around French dictionary. I wanted a dictionary that was gigantic (meaning the largest number of words), I wanted one that would conjugate all the verbs, and I wanted one that pronounced all the words AND the verb conjugations. This app did it. I am thrilled with it especially since I tried several other more expensive apps prior to using this one. More than just a dictionary
Extremely user-friendly. The photo capability is perfect for visual learners like me. Pronunciation is something that I struggle with, but being able to compare the way I say a word to the dictionary's pronunciation enables me to hear subtle differences which, ultimately, makes it easier for people to understand me. Very useful app
Easy to use, I was sick of the BK French English dictionary app that never got translations right. This one's format of mixing French and English seemed strange at first but I actually prefer it now for ease of searching in either language. And the translations are straight forward and accurate. Great App!
I use this app frequently. My favorite option is the conjugate one. If you look up a verb you can click the conjugate button and it will give you a full page of the conjugations. I also like the fact the you can hear the pronunciation. I'm sure there are even more features that I have yet to discover.Show lesseasy and Effective
