Great for tracking distance, time, and route

I love that this app has all the info in an easy to read format. I especially like being able to see the route as I’m walking/ hiking. Works better than my sister’s Fitbit watch! Doesn’t count steps, but that’s not what I wanted it for. I love getting to see the distance, time, and calories updating along the way rather than just being given as a total at the end of the walk. While hiking, the map is especially helpful for knowing which trail to take next based on the line showing where you have already been.

The Favourite Parts of my Life Logged

Over the past more than 10 years I have logged over 15,000Km and over half a million metres of ascent - and it has been an amazing journey. Walkmeter has charted all of this and enabled me to compare so many stats over the years. After I retired from full time work I managed to lose 20% of my body weight and despite age and cancer treatment - increase and then sustain my exercise program. Walkmeter has been a huge benefit to keeping going and just enjoying life. During that time I have noted a steady improvement in the app’s capabilities - especially logging to Apple health. I have had the occasional issues - usually fixed by the next iteration of iPhone increasing its memory - but the app continues to be the best encouragement to just keep going and keep enjoying life that I know of - keep up the good work guys!!!

Congrats on your amazing journey! We are so honored that you chose us to be your fitness companion through the years. We greatly appreciate your awesome review!

Took a bit of getting used to but support team is wonderful!

I needed an app that would track my walking distance as I continue in my journey to recover from a total knee replacement. My recovery has been absolutely brutal! My knee would swell and not bend! Walking my puppy has been one of the ways I am working the knee back to health.

I started with the free app but the ads were extremely difficult to get past at first….or I am just not that savvy about how to get past them. I contacted tech support and they were extremely helpful! The app is really helpful and is perfect for my needs! I plan on getting the upgrade to the Elite version.

Interesting UI

I’ve used Walkmeter for years. Just went to review and noticed it was under an old Apple ID so reloaded it.

When I went to use it today—first time for a while—I did not want to dig out reading glasses from my jacket, just hit the big green “start.” It threw up the nag screen about rating them, which I dismissed. Got to the end of my walk and dug out the glasses and checked the mileage. Huh, apparently the nag screen captured my click … anyhow, it never started.

So, I’d have rated it five stars if it hadn’t been for the unfortunate nag interaction the first time I’ve used the app in six months. It does seem to work well when it actually records my walk or ride. Hopefully I won’t see the nag again.

I'm not clear on what nag screens you are referring to, but it you send an email to support@abvio.com with a description of the problem, they would be able to to help you with this issue.

Walkmeter

Have been using for 12+ years to record details of my activity, Nordic walking. It is a simple yet sophisticated app and enables you to, e.g. monitor your fitness levels and compare your PBs over a period of time. Get it, you will not regret it!!

Thank you so much for your excellent recommendation! :-)

My favorite workout app-Elite and tech support are great

Walkmeter is my favorite workout app. I use it nearly every time I walk for my workout. I became an Elite user years ago and have enjoyed all the extra features. Not only does Walkmeter keep every statistic about my walk, I find the seamless transfer of the results to my email to be critical for my record keeping. I love the ease of use with my Apple Watch. If I forget my phone, my workout will record everything on my watch and when I return home, the phone is synced to keep my workout record up to date.

Another impressive benefit of Walkmeter is the great tech support. When I upgraded my watch, I had a location services discrepancy and Abvio's tech support quickly and accurately diagnosed my issue and sent me a solution the same day I sent the support request.
