  • Took a bit of getting used to but support team is wonderful!

I needed an app that would track my walking distance as I continue in my journey to recover from a total knee replacement. My recovery has been absolutely brutal! My knee would swell and not bend! Walking my puppy has been one of the ways I am working the knee back to health.

I started with the free app but the ads were extremely difficult to get past at first….or I am just not that savvy about how to get past them. I contacted tech support and they were extremely helpful! The app is really helpful and is perfect for my needs! I plan on getting the upgrade to the Elite version.

  • Interesting UI

I’ve used Walkmeter for years. Just went to review and noticed it was under an old Apple ID so reloaded it.

When I went to use it today—first time for a while—I did not want to dig out reading glasses from my jacket, just hit the big green “start.” It threw up the nag screen about rating them, which I dismissed. Got to the end of my walk and dug out the glasses and checked the mileage. Huh, apparently the nag screen captured my click … anyhow, it never started.

So, I’d have rated it five stars if it hadn’t been for the unfortunate nag interaction the first time I’ve used the app in six months. It does seem to work well when it actually records my walk or ride. Hopefully I won’t see the nag again.

I'm not clear on what nag screens you are referring to, but it you send an email to support@abvio.com with a description of the problem, they would be able to to help you with this issue.
  • My favorite workout app-Elite and tech support are great

Walkmeter is my favorite workout app. I use it nearly every time I walk for my workout. I became an Elite user years ago and have enjoyed all the extra features. Not only does Walkmeter keep every statistic about my walk, I find the seamless transfer of the results to my email to be critical for my record keeping. I love the ease of use with my Apple Watch. If I forget my phone, my workout will record everything on my watch and when I return home, the phone is synced to keep my workout record up to date.

Another impressive benefit of Walkmeter is the great tech support. When I upgraded my watch, I had a location services discrepancy and Abvio's tech support quickly and accurately diagnosed my issue and sent me a solution the same day I sent the support request.

  • Record of exercise

I’m of age where getting back into the swing of things is more a matter of inspiration.
Walkmeter helps to continue being consistent.
Got a jump this week on New Years Resolutions. Plenty of neighbors already on their own personal program.
Beats habit of relying on caffeine when dragging
  • Easy to use and ACCURATE

Compared the mileage against Google Maps and Apple Maps and Walkmeter has been consistent

Plus it only tracks you when you turn it on. So I feel confident and secure that I can control the data being collected

    HIGHLY recommended
  • 13 years using this app

With some Hights and lows in the app but surely consistency in accuracy and development of how to keep your walking running etc. exercise efficiently, so far never had a big issue through all the iPhones since 3g, 4, 6, 7 and now 13, just wish the mini widgets on the Lock Screen and that’s it nothing else to ask

  • Walkmeter app, 2 thumbs up

I have been using Walkmeter for about 3 weeks. It allows me to track the route I walked, distance, walk time, pace, and calories burned. It is an outstanding tool to track daily and historical progress. I am still using the free version. Adds are not a nuisance and I surmise the premium version has more useful features. I may upgrade in the future but for now I am enjoying the functionality and support that Walkmeter brings to my walking routine.

  • Elite is worth it for the price

I recommend the app I have solved most of my issues with it. It has a steep learning curve but the payback is that the app has helped me increase my pace and raise my heart rate.

I have had my frustrations and still have not solved all my issues. This app is hugely ambitious and it certainly has to appeal to walkers with OCD. But the price is reasonable so I can endure some learning curve. Still reluctant to start the app on my Watch. But I can start it from the phone okay. It took a while to figure out how to get the heart rate to show but it does work. I figured out how to edit route names. I figured out how to get announcements. Still working on fine tuning that. My greatest interest is in keeping cadence. Still looking for strategies to maintain a high cadence. It is easy for it to flag.

Old review: Very frustrating. I upgraded to elite but the Applewatch app was already installed. Little did I know that I would have to reinstall it on the watch to get the elite features. One workout lost. It stopped twice during my walk. Was it something I did? Restarting it is challenging with a sweaty finger. I am a pretty good troubleshooter but not when I am power walking. I have tried renaming a route. The instructions say it is possible. Yes but try to do it. Features galore but hard to use.

Upgrading to Elite on your iPhone should have automatically updated your watch app to Elite as well. Sorry to hear you ran into trouble with that process. If you need help with your setup, please reach out to support@abvio.com anytime.
  • My Running Partner

I’ve been using this app for several years and I love it. I’m a basic user, but I still find it critical to my running. It’s so important to know your running distance & time and the app does a great job in letting me know exactly where I am and how long I’ve been running. I highly recommend.
  • Calorie accuracy questionable.

From what I can tell the app does pretty good at tracking mileage and keeping time but the calorie counter seems a bit off unless it’s the other app I’m using that’s off. I feel like this app has me burning twice as many calories in a day than the other app I just started using. This is important to me because I use this information with my diet and it’s hard to know how many calories/carbs I need to intake if I don’t know how many I’m burning.
