  • One of the most useful apps ever!

This may be just be my fave app of all time given how useful it is. So many handy features. I especially love that it shows you a map of the route you took. It’s never glitchy. You can save all kinds of data. And these are all free features. I will prob buy the paid plan bc it’ll be worth it.
  • Obnoxious Ads, Inaccurate

I realize the free version is funded by ads but these are so obnoxious and in-your-face that it makes you not even want to use the app. One even boasts about how obnoxious it is. Besides that I have found it to be quite inaccurate and cluttered with unintuitive information and options. I bought an earlier version and was pleased with it. The new version suffers from feature bloat. The best designs do one thing well.

  • Great app. I do have a suggestion for a new feature.

Walkmeter is a great companion while hiking or walking. One thing that would help me when I challenge myself on routes is to have color coding of my route on the map for speed. I can then easily see where my pace can improve and where I am challenged.
  • Ads

Used to love this app. I have the paid version but lately I have been plastered with ads while trying to use it which is quite frustrating. I unsubscribed from this app due to getting the ads on my screen all the time.

    Update
Developer reached out and walked me through removing the ads.
    Thank you.

  • Nice App

I’ve been using this app for a few years now. It does what I am looking for. It could use a few features I’ve seen in other apps, like the ability to share your workout via messaging. One of my favorite features is the ability to trim the distance. That is useful when you sometimes forget to push Stop until you drive back home!😳🤪 I’m looking forward to reaching my 1000 mile walking milestone next year!

  • Mixed Feelings!

I’m not sure what it says about an app when you initially find it is less frustrating to use the Apple Workout App on your watch, and import the results for analysis, than it is to use the App directly on the Watch. The app seems to work fine when the Watch is set to record on the phone, but switching to record on the Watch causes it to feel like it has stopped working. The faces don’t show data and I keep getting text saying I need elite when I have it on the elite trial, and it feels unresponsive. The phone app interface is clean, but swiping though title-less pages, some of which are blank, feels like it is missing something. Fixing this and getting a personalized interface takes a lot of trial and error because it is not always clear what each page does and sometimes just changing font size creates havoc. For example, on the overview you get four pieces of data on small font and one piece on medium. I’ll renew the elite subscription because I like looking at the maps of my walks, and the data, and the Apple Fitness app is hopeless in that regard.

  • Love it!

I’ve used Walkmeter for several years now. I appreciate being able to look at history in a summary form to compare years and I like the e-mail with a link to see your route on the map.
  • Love

I absolutely love this app. I go for for very long walks and sometimes runs every single day. Frequently I walk 6 miles or more and it is always exciting to see what goals I have reached in a given week. I also love the archiving of your various results. Good work. Keep it up, Tom Bradley
  • Great when it works - Frustrating when it does not

This app is great - data it records, ease of using a heart monitor, different kinds of activities.
Yet there are times when it starts and appears to be working then when you finish your exercise, you realize it stopped working at sometime when you were working out.
I have not figured out why or what causes it - just that nothing was working the entire time of the workout.

  • Easy to use… pretty accurate.

I’ve been using Walkmeter for years . It accurately records my walk times, my paths and my split times. It’s a little off on elevation , but I also walk under lots of shady areas if that makes a differences. I have records going back several years so I can see my progress over time. I like it and will keep using it.
