    I used this and was able to better understand proper breathing for JuJutsu and Zen meditation. The combination of visual and audible cues are perfect. Also, late one night I could not get to sleep and decided to play with this app. I was able to go to sleep easily. I have been trying to remember to use this if I can't sleep. Overall this app is the best one on my phone.

  • Amazing New App

    Just got my update and I love the new graphics. The new custom routine feature is a big improvement over the old version as well.

    I do about 60 minutes of pranayama a day and it really helps me sleep better and feel well rested in the morning.

    If you want to live a healthier lifestyle, this app is a perfect way to start.

  • Good Start - Needs Improvements

    I think this is a helpful tool for beginners. I don't see it being widely used until the creators allow for a variety of music or user choice of music with a breath prompting in the background. Also the main screen could be more interactive with a slideshow of images or mandalas. Plenty of breathing room in this app. I like the concept, but it needs to break out of the box and expand in a creative way.

  • Great but doesn't allow background music

    There is a great ambient noise generator I just paid for in order for it to act as background "music" while I used this pranayama app. Unfortunately when i started this app the background noise faded out.

    For an app that costs $5 I think it should at least let us continue our own sound scape, esp for those of us who live around lots of distracting noise.

    Otherwise well worth the money! To your health!

  • Great app, very useful and medically beneficial

    Honestly, this is a great app. I was going through a rough time and was seeing a therapist and she taught me deep breathing as part of cognitive behavioral therapy, to help with my depression and anxiety. I've been using this app in conjunction with some gujded meditation apps (rest & relax is great, so is guided insight meditation) and i have seen noticeable improvements to my physical health and mind. Could probably use an option for variable breath lengths (faster to slower to fast again in a random cycle) but as is the app is worth price. Must have for anybody serious about meditation and focus techniques.

  • Great app, should include cautions re breathing exercises

    This app is beautifully conceived and executed.

    Note that when pranayama is taught by a teacher there may be some cautions re overdoing it. This app doesn't provide that. I suggest that you advance slowly and if you notice difficulty sleeping or agitation that you take some time off from the practice. For most people I wouldn't expect this to be a problem with moderate use of the app.

  • Appeciate the ability to customize

    Very good to let one set up own regimen of inhaling, holding, and exhaling. Would be perfect if you could measure in half seconds as well as seconds, but not a big deal. Another suggestion would be to include a few more choices for music or tone accompaniment. But, in the end, thaw program is a real aid to meditation by breath control. For one thing, I no longer need to count while meditating.

    I love this app, use it every day and recommend it to my clients (I am a psychotherapist). Not only it is good for relaxation and meditation but it also has improved my running capability (in just one week I doubled the running time and increased speed at the same time). It's easy to use, and I also like that it has many levels and you can customize the amount of time spent

    This is the most practical and helpful app on the store. Most of my stress and health related problems is cause of my fast and shallow breathing. And this simple, practical app have helped me SOO MUCH! And now with customized breathing patterns,makes this app the best on its class. And the price? AWESOME. Let me tell you, I own a $300 mind machine, and this simple app have given more benefits to my life.

  • Amazing - My Favorite App!

    I've been using this app for a few weeks now & have become completely addicted to it. I've had bouts of Insomnia and migraines for years and am frequently tense from stress. I think this has helped in every area. I consistently feel more grounded and calm after each session (similar to the feeling I would get after a cardio workout). This Pranayama app has been easier for me to stick with vs. meditation as I can feel the short term benefits after each session. As for the app itself, they did a fabulous job.
