If you are looking to learn scales, find a chord library or find a backing track this app is perfect. The only thing I don't like about it is that you can't login to your JamPlay account to save the scales you looked at or backing tracks to use for a quick reference. Although thats a very small complaint. I'm giving this app a 4 out of five because the guitar community needs to demand more from their apps when it comes to learning. Best on a PC
I use this app on 3 devices: a laptop PC, an iPad, and an iPhone. You get 100% functionality on the laptop, a bit less on the tablet, and least of all on the phone (where I mostly use it for the tuner and for looking up chords). I spent a lot of time and money on live instruction and CD-based courses. JamPlay is for me the best of all worlds. I finally feel as though I may some day learn to play at a satisfying level.Show lessMB Prins

Great guitar app
I bought it primarily for scales and the chord chart, but was thrilled with all of the other features! I have a separate app for a tuner and a metronome that I can now delete! The Jam tracks can be fun too. Great app all around, I'd highly recommend it.Fred.Ferrari

I have been playing for 20+ years and these are like tools ,in a tool box !! It keeps me in check when my engines oil light comes on ,and it's time to go get the right tools to tune it up and of course change the oil !!!!!Lordozz71
