Can’t open password protected documents
This app is somewhat useful. However, it no longer lets you open a password protected document and that change makes it less useful. Also, if you close the app, you can get back in without logging in again. That’s a security issue.
Works as expected with a frustration
I’m in a place where I’m uploading various photos to folders. Unfortunately the app strips the original file name and replaces it with a file name based on the date it was uploaded. I can’t find a setting to turn this off.
Movie upload
Movie upload from an iPhone to the app causes an error. Uploads. But appears to not.
Amazing Program
We own a small contracting company and didn’t want to pay for or have the room for a server.
This app has everything we need to share documents between our staff. We use it just like a server. It’s extremely user friendly, very fast and affordable. Our site supervisors can quickly access drawings and specifications. They can also upload pictures directly to specific job files.
I would definitely recommend this program to any small or medium business.

Very flexible
Egnyte makes my SOHO business work seamlessly between multiple locations. Being able to upload and access files from all my locations and the mobile platforms is key. Sharing files and folders with third parties is also a breeze. I am using it much more than I do several other available cloud storage tools because it is so well deployed.

Historically great but...
The functionality of the product is perfect. It couldn’t be any better. I seamlessly move from one device to another. The interoperability is key. Unfortunately the last update to the Windows client is glitchy and frequently loses connection. Fix it and you shall see stars!
August, 2020: Back to being brilliant!! I’m not sure what they did to fix it, but all seems stabile and reliable now.

Unable to access any documents with current version on my iPad
I have a love/hate relationship with this thing. Wonderful when it works, horrid when it doesn’t. Versions seem to get pushed out without adequate testing, so often things don’t work when I need them to. Unfortunately my academic institution demands that I use it. Hah hah, jokes on me.
