  • Why should we pay have to pay such a lump thrice!

You pay for the app expecting the premium service, yet you are still only getting the lite edition. Talk about money suckers! It's not even a cheap app! I would expect to pay 50% of the app price for an added feature not 300% per year. This applies for the gamepad and anywhere access. I already pay for the internet, I pay for the app and yet its only a lite version. Please Reconsider your Business model, it is deeply flawed, and will hinder your sales. If you will not reconsider, then at least significantly lower the price. The increase in sales will easily outweigh the lost in revenue per download.
It is a great app, but the developers will not be praised for their work if they keep asking for these ridiculous prices.

  • The best Remote Desktop app.

A remarkably functional application that gives very responsive remote control of any system that will run the streaming application (eg Windows or OS X) at a decent resolution. I find the odd subscription method for the ability to use it off-network, a feature that I consider to me the most useful ability of the app, to be a bit unnecessary. It does make it cheaper in the short term to what appears to be one of the primary alternatives, being LogMeIn Ignition, but a subscription method to add extra plugins for onscreen shortcuts rather than adding them as upgraded features in the app seems a bit mean, especially as the upgrade button can't be disabled if you have no interest in the module.

Regardless, if you have a need to be able to remotely access a PC and VNC is just too unusable via a portable device, then Splashtop is pretty hard to beat. Responsive controls, streaming efficient enough that you can watch movies or play games (albeit with difficulty due to touchscreen controls) complete with audio, on newer LTE enabled devices its even practical, although possibly not affordable due to data usage, to use for remote media streaming via the cell network. Just be aware of how restrictive the app is in its "free" form, for many it may well still be all they need.

  • Surprise Subscription

The program itself is not to bad, however have just found that I need to pay a 'monthly subscription fee' to be actually able to use this outside my own network? This was surprising and very disappointing as its renders the program fairly useless if I can only use it standing 5m from my desktop (unless you pay the extra for an ongoing hidden cost). Subscription is not expensive however I resent being charged extra continuously to unlock the whole purpose of the program, with no added input from them? Will be looking for a free alternative for this reason...

  • Awesome and easy

This app is so amazing it so easy to use and its great to use the main computer while in a cozy seat instead of the computer seat.
The only problem with it is when you connect with the selected computer the computer screen goes into a square image display instead of the rectangle sort of display. Other than that is is an amazing app worth every cent. :) 5/5

  • Feel ripped off

Used free/demo version with 5 minute access using remote remote access. Purchased full version thinking that I would have the same features without the five limit access. Once I upgrade, the app prompted me to pay for remote access. Probably written in the somewhere in the fine print but not what I expected.

  • Feel cheated.

When this app was remade into this mark 2 version the core aspect of its usage, the ability to use my computer at a remote location, was fundamentally altered to this payed subscription nonsense. I purchased this app a long time ago strictly because it had this functionality for what was at the time an expensive purchase ($15). Now you want me to pay another dollar a month for something the app already did? This app has been shelved.

  • Frustrating

App works when I'm sitting right in front of the computer with my ipad, but not when it counts. I purchased the anywhere access pack, and was told the transaction was not confirmed- then receive a receipt from apple saying it was. I still do not have access. Very unreliable app, teamviewer worked much better, for free

  • Best remote desktop type app for iOS

I have tried many different remote desktop clients and can say that Splashtop offers the best user experience. You can play video on your pc and watch it in another room. It supports windows themes like aero glass and is very responsive. The best thing is that it has the best choice of gestures to emulate click, dbl-click, right click, drag/drop of any app I have tried.

Version 2 improves on the app by allowing you to access your home pc or work pc without having to ply with ports on your firewall - it just works.

  • Wow, very slick

Well worth the small effort of installing the streaming app on host machine. By far the smoothest remote desktop experience.
Quality isn't quite as sharp as windows RDC, but it's a much nicer experience overall. Interface is the best I've come across.
"smooth" mode makes video playback seamless and the loss of quality is acceptable for most video.
    Well done!

  • Perfect access!

This works so seamlessly over my home wifi network. Being able to work with files and manage my office pc with my iPad sure beats sitting in the study. Responsiveness is excellent and connections made very quickly. I've already recommended it to workmates and will happily recommend in future. Can't wait to try it on the work network.
Works great on the work network too. Got a few workmates using it too.
Tried out the blanking screen & lock feature of the updated software. Wish I hadn't! Ever since it locked the first time I haven't been able to connect AT ALL! Have tried resetting ports, security password.... Nothing! What the hell!
Wait.... Let me login, had to change port numbers...no wait... Won't work again! HELP!
