Good app - minor issues
This makes a really good app. I'm not sure what people are talking about when they say it doesn't work for Mac OS X - it's been connecting and working perfectly. Even though my upload speed is terrible - around 20kb/sec, I have had no lag.
There has only been one issue for me, though. It isnt big enough to really merit the loss of a star. After I disconnect and go back to my Mac, anything with mouse over detection doesn't work. This tends to be a pain in the neck when it comes to menus etc. it's not too bad now, but please fix it ASAP!!!
Other than that, a well-made app. I just wish you could put such responsiveness into xdisplay's Mac version....Show lesstheo_cupent42

Only got this app 10min ago and already love it! It is very easy to use and very capable.
Love that you can open your photo booth and see what your Mac sees ...
Also handy to manage downloads on your home computer or check those photos you didn't sync with your iPad.mosuca

I was really skeptical at first, but I had to take another step in finding that perfect remote desktop app. I took more of a leap actually and I'm glad I did,this app works great over local network in streaming even heavy 3D games like shogun 2. The very best app i have ever used!
This app has revolutionized the way I use my ipad2. I mean it! I feel as if the value of my ipad has tripled thanks to this app. This app has absolutely no lagging while using a number of software on my desktop. Now, all I need is my ipad, anywhere in the world, and I can continue doing my business, controlling my desktop computer that is thousand miles away from me. I am a professional translator and use SDL Trados Studio 2009 extensively, along with Msoffice (Msword, Excel, PPT etc). I don't need QuickOffice, or Docs to go etc any longer. Think of being able to use your desktop or notebook without any limitation simply on your ipad! Million thanks to the developers of Splashtop. Awesome features and amazing price
I had been looking around for a while reading reviews of remote desktop apps looking for one that would support sound as well as working well with videos. I was willing to fork out the $30 (that other apps charge) to do this, then I came across splashtop which offered the same functionality but for only $4. I was skeptical because of this price but figured $4 is worth a look and I haven't looked back, this was the best decision I made, the app is truly amazing allowing me to watch movies from my pc, listen to music I have downloaded or streamed from the Internet from flash sites. My experience has come from using the app within the LAN so the responses have been fast without any lag, having sound play through my pc and iPad while they are linked they were in sync!Show lessREDDWARF_
Lovin' it!
By far the best remote desktop app to date. You can play and do everything you would normally do on your home desktop and all by touchscreen. Since Apple would never allow gambling apps, for me, this is the next best thing. All poker sites look great in full screen and more enjoyable to play by touch.
My only gripe is the video fps could be better but besides that, I'd give it 6 stars if I could.Show lessMarquee Playa74
The fastest remote control app
Have tried many other remote control apps and I can confidently say that this is the fastest remote control app. The dev team just added a function that supports nVidia GPUs to enhance the performance so if your graphics card is nVidia's you should def get this. Although this function does not work for me well and I had to disable it, the support team is superb. I always write emails to devs when I encounter problems and Splashtop support team replied within couple of hours to both my emails. This app is useful when you want to email a file thats inside your computer from outside. When you are in the same network, you can use your ipad to view flash, play videos etc. Seems that any program that uses Direct X 3D does not work which doesnt bother me at all as if i wanted to play 3D games I wouldnt use ipad as a proxy device anyways. This is a fantastic app. I use it at work and at home. Only drawback is at the moment there seems to be some bugs which cause the connection to drop out. Bit annoying especially at work when you need that connection in a meeting! Anyway, I am sure they will iron out the bugs. BUY IT BUY IT BUY IT!Stoked Kiwi
Just what I needed!
This is the best app on my iPad2. I don't use my pc anymore, well not directly anyway. I love using the iPad as my pc, it's fantastic. It does lag a little under high strain but then again so did my pc. All in all, exactly what I needed to make my iPad everything I need.Kiwi Duchess
