Great for writing, journaling
Steve has created a great text writing app. One reviewer missed the point - it isn't for word processing or complex note-taking, but more for book writing or journaling i.e. pounding out text with images. And for that, it excels. You can backdate or postdate entries, and it has nice range of fonts. Image handling is intuitive but is sadly lacking 'inline' images that reflow text. Passcode-protected notebook option is great for journaling. Backup and restore are great. Protected notebooks aren't backed up with encryption, which would be nice. Definitely a 5* in the making.

College
I got a Ipad to use as my Notebook for college, originally I wanted to get one of the pogo styluses and a app where I could write everything, but after some playing around I chose to get a wireless keyboard and this app, and thus far its been working Great. It has everything I need to create and manage multiple notebooks for every class.
The only downside is that you cant re-arange the notebooks as its been stated before, I'm sure it will be fixed eventually, but even so, its a fantastic app, the best notebook app I've yet seen in the Itunes store.

Don't waste your money
I had this up for the last 3 weeks, so far I see nothing that impresses me. It is a very basic note taking app, that lacks many features that other apps offer. If you have Pages, or any other app that resembles the concept of pages then don't waste a dime on this app. Other than entering the text and adding a photo there is nothing there else. Text wrapping is not available. No text boxes. No fonts or fonts colors. Like I said it is way over priced. If there is a way to compare it I would say it is better than apples Notes app but it is so far a way from Pages and other good note taking programs like Underscore note, Sling note, notebooks, and noterize.

Very good!
It has taken me 11 purchases of various note/diary/journal purchases until I finally found Chapters.
It timestamps, organizes in date order, allows pin codes on individual notes for privacy, is stable and searchable and looks great too....all in all, it has the best combination of features I was looking for in a notes app and I am very satisfied.
Even better, the author includes his email in the app. I sent an idea I would like for a future update (black background and white text theme) and he emailed back within hours.

Really useful app!
Really good app and easy to use! I luv the ability to add pictures and the calendar is a nice convenient feature. I anticipate creating MANY chapters and would love to see a few additions in future upgrades: ability to highlight or at least underline specific passages within our text or perhaps bold certain words or lines. A bullets feature would be nice without us having to manually do it ourselves. Most important feature request for me, please allow us to rearrange our books in our own order. As one who anticipates having many, it would be nice to arrange them as I please. Perhaps see the spine of the notebooks instead and we can arrange as we see fit based on our titles??? Just a few suggestions. I look forward to seeing your future updates. Keep up the good work!

Very useful. Easy to use.
One of the best note taking type apps out there. User interface is nicely thought out. The way it organizes things is very useful. Easy to import photos into a document. And the price is very reasonable for the functionality you get.
About the only thing I wish for is to have text wrap around a picture but that is something I can easily work around.

Pretty good app!
I haven't really done much journaling but I started with this app recently. As a teacher, I find that it's usefully for documenting your daily itineraries, reflections, minutes, and other day to day items easily on your ipad.
I do like how you can export via email, pdf now, and google docs.
What I hope to see in the future is to be able to edit via desktop as well. I believe the most ideal way to do this would be something that can work anywhere such as via google docs.
I am also an evernote user and would love to see maybe some type of integration via an API perhaps? I'm not an expert in how to integrate something like that via the software programming but I hope and wonder if something like that can be done.

Competent and stable first release
This is a good start for a journal app, and very easy to use. I personally wold like to be able to add my own sketch or jotting (noy just photos which scale nicely) and have also requested some other colours and font sizes. The developer is very responsive and is planning updates so give it a try if you have uses for a journal like plays or novels, travels, diaries etc.

I usually do not write reviews for apps, but this app is great and definitely worth the money. Very happy with the app. I wrote the developer for some feedback and he wrote back within a few minutes and it seems like he appreciated my feedback. Stop looking and buy this app. You will not be sorry.
