Some glitches on quizzes
This app has pronunciation glitches. When doing quizzes, the pronunciations sometimes are totally off and don’t match the words. Other than that, I like the visual memorizations.Rav

I’m in a fast pass Japanese class and had to learn everything in 2 weeks. Sounds insane because it is. This app is amazing with helping ways to remember it. I’m not sure why this isn’t more known for Japanese students. Worth every penny.trizzzzy_
Learned all the Hiragana in one morning
I’ve been learning languages with Duolingo during the pandemic. The hiragana were tricky to learn so I looked for a good app. The mnemonics were simple, funny, and I just got a perfect score on the quiz with all 46 characters - all within 2 hours of downloading the app.
There are some simple fixes I’d love to see, such as when you see how to write the character you can’t continue scrolling after you get back.

Excellent app
I was trying to learn Japanese characters for about 3 months and tried so many different programs and it just wouldn’t sink in. I was very skeptical getting this app but it does the trick. I am a visual person and the way they are teaching is perfect for me. Absolutely love it.Zaralafey

Helped me learn Hiragana and master it quickly. Add Dakuten into the lesson though. That is my recommendation.Avexem
Very good app.
The mnemonics works for me and helps me remember the different characters ina flash. My only suggestion is that on the quiz, I hope they add the feature of reviewing the missed characters at the end of the quiz. Otherwise, the app is very helpful for beginner learners of the Japanese language. Thank you.Show lessSammy_360

It’s ok, not great
So, for the basics, it’s pretty good. You can get the basic characters in about an hour. But it completely ignores the modified forms. So essentially you are missing almost half of what you need to learn. There have been no updates as far as I can tell for them either, and I have had this for over a year. Moved on to Drops, which actually acknowledges these missing characters exist.Show lessDoc-08-LA
Best Hiragana App for sure
I’ve tried out a lot of different apps for learning Hiragana and this one is still the best I’ve found. I was able to get 100% on all basic AND modified Hiragana, even while covering up the multiple choice answers, within 1-2 hours of using the app, having started basically from knowing nothing (I learned them a few years ago but had forgotten all of it). Same goes for the Katakana version as well.
Definitely worth getting the full paid version, you won’t regret it. Easy and fast learning, cannot recommend enough.Show lessTom88norman
