Incredible! It's absolutely true, you will learn all the characters in an hour! This app is incredible!

Made me confident about learning Japanese
Let me start off by saying I NEVER take the time to review apps... But this app in particular has helped me immensely, not only in mastering the hiragana, but in gaining the confidence to take on katakana and kanji as my next steps to becoming a Japanese speaker. If you're wondering if the app is worth the $5, trust me - as someone who hates paying for apps - it is! I haven't even had the app for a full day and I feel confident in recognizing each hiragana character. I will continue to use the quiz mode to master my memorization, and I'll definitely be buying the katakana version of the app once I feel 100% confident in hiragana (which won't take long)! I'll be studying abroad in Japan next year and I'm excited to have such an affordable, useful, fun way to help me learn the language.

This app makes learning Hiragana VERY easy and quick. The pictures are fun and simple, and they really do stick in your head after practicing the quizzes a few times. I have no regrets from buying this app :)TopPercentageRattata
Best Hiragana app out there!
I used this app for less than an hour and a half, and I can already get 100% on the first 46 characters. Super helpful and makes sense. Would happily recommend this app to a friend. Worth the $5.jjoshie
Pretty good
With this app I was able to learn the simple Hiragana in a few days. This is great. However, then I find there's a bunch of modified ones too. I feel these should be covered in "Learning Mode" too, not just covered by the quiz.
Also there's IMHO to many advertising callouts to other apps. Don't take up 1/3 of my screen with an advertisement for your other app. This is not a free/lite app.Show less0b0010
Amazing app for beginnets
I downloaded this app for my 11year old son who is struggling with the Japanese Alphabet. Within a few days of playing this app we both know the whole alphabet. I would love for the modified alphabet to be added and included in the quiz section :)jen_wa
A MUST for learners
Let me start out by saying this app has to be the most elegantly put together Japanese learning app on the market. The visual aids will stick with you after practicing through them for a few days. Now what this will teach you is the sound of each letter in the hiragana "alphabet", and a good way to remember them. This will NOT teach you full words. I haven't had a clue how to memorize kana because all the characters looked so similar. I used to force memorize the characters but I would just forget what I memorized in a few days.
With this app I was able to 100% learnt and memorized all hiragana in a week! (I know that's a lot longer than 1 hour but I couldn't before for soo many months) starting on the katakana app now! I really recommend this appShow lessCottonCandyChampagne
