  • Works pretty well but

So I have had this app for a good 2-3 years, I thought it was really good but I think there should be a feature where you can track your physical remote, we lost our physical remote and just found it yesterday but the issue is the features on this app should either A. Mirror the physical remote. Or B. Have a tracker for the physical remote.
I personally love this app it’s great when you don’t wanna grab your remote or go up to the receiver and press buttons, it’s also good if you would like to troll people in your house.

  • Random volume=blown speakers

The last update seemed to correct the issue with not finding the receiver for 30 seconds. However, now it is basically unusable unless you are okay with blowing out your speakers. I have two zones, and when I want one zone on and not the second, the volume often maxes out on the zone I don’t want on at all when I turn on the the second zone. And it takes a few seconds of panic to get it shut back off. This happens even if I have the other zone muted. The mute turns off and cranks the volume to 70+. It doesn’t always happen, guessing 1/4 of the time. Complete garbage, and if you’ve spent some money on good speakers you’re really taking a risk by using this app. And before anyone asks, the super high random volume is not a “feature” (ie remembering the last volume setting for that zone), because it gets cranked to more than double of the loudest I’ve ever played music. It didn’t do this the first 4-5 years I used the app.

  • No cable sat

Not that hard to get this right. Useless without it.
  • Latest update no good.

This app used to work pretty well 95% of the time. The latest update now works about 10% if the time. Bad.
  • Good AVR App

Didn’t have any issues with setting up my x1100w via Ethernet and DNS. Device showed up immediately in the app. Love the app’s ability to change sound programs on the fly. Accessing the AVR’s setup and configuration screens is intuitive and it’s a lot more sophisticated to use for making quick channel volume adjustments. Nitpicks would be that the app’s icon needs an update to better match the overall look of iOS. The GUI could use a touch up as well, but I found the app to be a good utility and a nice quick way to adjust the volume when the remote is out of reach.

  • Unreliable

This app is down approximately 80% of the time when i want to use it. Don't know if its a function of all the updates apple keeps doing but it has become mire of a frustration than anything else.

When operational, it works fairly well with occasional loss of receiver. Unfortunately the app quits working constantly. Whenever you tap the app to open, it appears to try and open then blinks back to the phone screen.

  • Using App on iPhone 7

Just started using the App to Airplay my music via Denon AVR audio system. Very easy to link and works very well. I really like the app Player View display.
Easy to select music source and control playing via the AVR.

I haven’t tried all the App main functions yet, but those tried work for me, so I’ve given 4stars!

  • Doesn't work anymore

Used to be a great app. Doesn't work anymore, can't even see my AVR on the network. Disappointing and lame. Please fix this DENON, it is important to the functionality of your product.
  • Massive improvement

I used this app when I bough my Denon x1100 a few years and it sucked. Intermittent connectivity was my major complaint. I'm not sure if the app was improved or if it was their most recent firmware update - or both - but I've had zero issues over the past month of use via iPad and iPhone. I will say it still is a bit clunky and the workflows aren't ideal, but it works and is reliable. Nice fixes whatever they were.
