So many bugs in recent updates

1. “Message buyer” feature - If you send the bank account not using xx-xxxx-xxxxxxx format, all your message just be gone.
2. “Motor” section entry on home page: click it enter motor page -> whole screens jumps randomly and the car icon besides “Motor” title is not shown.
3. Buy Now in listing process - if you tick Buy Now and go proceed listing process without entering buy now price, an error message shows below Buy Now section, correct! But if you untick Buy Now and then go proceed, you still can’t proceed process.

Whoever developer sees this, this is not your fault, you are doing good, just bad management of company level.

How to be better.

Trademe is only let down by allowing those with a history of accumulating Negative Feed back to continue to trade !!!!. Perhaps a Red Flag should appear , when they are listing something , bidding on something , or pushed Buy now !. Trademe has a Moral obligation to do something positive , so the Genuine Traders never have to endure the frustration, and expense of dealing with these kinds of People . I would love to see A Wanted to Buy section , I believe it would be so beneficial to so many People , you could always have Trial run . Cheers Dave.

Trade me app

Doesn’t load half the time. When it does the app keeps asking for log in details. Have to reboot the phone to get the app to start.

Great app, but ads get frustrating

The app is faultless and all-round a really great platform. BUT when I’m listening to music or a podcast while searching through listings, when an ad comes up my audio stops playing and I need to continuously press play to start my music or audio again. What’s more frustrating is that these ads occur every at least 6-7 listings. So I can’t even listen to 5 seconds of my audio without it pausing again from another ad. I wish the ads didn’t play automatically or if the ads were just ads, and not videos that would be fantabulous.

It must be really annoying if, even though the app is great, someone still needs to bring it up. Please fix soon.

Security risk

Really bad app. If you update your password or email address on your account it simply transfers the updates to the app without asking you to log in again. This means that anyone who you used to share your account with (an abusive ex for example) has access to all your personal details such as address and purchase history if they have the app on their phone and don’t ever log out of it. You’d never know that person had access to your account and personal details and would assume that a password or email change would keep your account secure. There is no facility to reject devices from your account nor any way to see where your account is logged in. Horrific security breach. Even with an email change your emails are sent to your old email address (even if the new email address is used for logging-in).

App keeps crashing

Used it for half an hour viewing listings and it crashed three times, super annoying.

Vehicle Fuel Economy Filter

Absolutely love this app and been using it for years! When searching for vehicles please add a fuel economy filter. Being able to choose the stars and/or prices within those stars to be specific. For example 5.5/6 Stars, Annual Fuel cost $1,090. Even having a top filter option such as 'best fuel economy first'. I know there is the fuel type filter but I think it would be incredibly helpful to search purely by the fuel rating. Especially considering the increase of fuel costs in Auckland as of late. Trade Me is still by far a fantastic and well polished app. Never let me down and I highly recommend it to any Kiwi or person living in New Zealand!

Without the worst customer service ever

I’ve never really used trademe for seeking anything before, but tried selling my old phone this week. I paid for the listing, uploaded photo’s and listed the add. Later that day Trademe sent me an email telling me my account was suspended and they can reinstate it if I send proof of purchase, a photo of the device next to the day’s paper and also my identification documentation. I combined and sent back the requested documentation and three days later my account is still suspended, and no one can tell me why. There is no call centre and no one is replying to my emails. In the meantime, I’ve paid for the listing, and potential buyers are asking questions I’m unable to respond to.

Feedback section reviews

The feedback reviews section needs to have an add review icon for those moments where you have won an auction but have not put your feedback of your purchase. Feedback has a limited timeframe after a trade is paid for this does not give room for those who only give feedback once th item/s have been received. There have been a few trades i have paid for but for reasons beyond my control receive the parcel late and the time frame for feedback has ended - unable to leave feedback.

Update glitches iPad - TMe couriers

This is annoyingly sometimes only showing Aramex as an option on the iPad while via my mobile (not updated) I get CourierPost as well - and have booked via that instead. However has caused at least one mistake for a buyer who wanted CP. Also on iPad since update, got all the way through to paying for courier (Aramex) when it couldn’t identify address (despite having quoted)... had to add Christchurch even though postcode present and buyer has had no previous problems. Meanwhile another glitch since update is clicking on sold item only to get a blank item page ie minus text or photos but with line decision and then freezing - random and have only been able to get into these items via notifications of their sale....
